Jeno smiled victoriously as he landed on his feet. He looked at the wall behind him, feeling proud that he managed to jump over it. Maybe practicing gymnastics with Winwin wasn't such a bad idea.

He walked backward, turned around and gradually gained speed. His heart was full of excitement at the thought of walking around the castle grounds, greeting the staff and the guards,

and maybe bump into you.

Okay, maybe he wanted to see you in the first place.

Oh, how his heart suddenly beats faster at the thought of you and he could already see the gates to the castle's courtyard.

But his heartbeats were even faster when he bumped into someone he didn't expect, the gates now blocked from his visions.

"Oof!"

"Thought you might come here," a chuckle escaped from someone's lips.

Jeno looked up, his body stiff. He knows that voice by heart. One look at the man and Jeno could only chuckle nervously.

"H-hey, Lucas, what are you doing here?" Jeno asked, trying to cover up his crimes. With this question, Lucas raised an eyebrow.

"More like, what are you doing here?" The taller man crossed his arms, "You know your history lesson will start soon, Your highness,"

Jeno cringed from the word Lucas decided to call him.

Lucas has been by Jeno's side since he was eleven years old he was also one of the youngest guards in the castle at that time and one of the best too. He was assigned to keep an eye on Jeno from the king. Back then, Jeno was a troublemaker, a lot worse than now. So the king decided that Jeno should have a guard beside him wherever he goes in case something bad happened to the young prince. But Jeno, being the brat that he is, saw him as a baby sitter. He hated at the thought of that, so they didn't get along at first. But that all changed when a certain event made them closer.

"You're mad at me, are you? You always use that title on me when you're mad," Jeno pouted with puffed cheeks.

Lucas smiled softly at the sight in front of him. Even after 9 years, he's still the same childish prince. But he had to admit, whenever Lucas saw Jeno work his princely things, Jeno always looks so mature. No childishness whatsoever.

And for the past few weeks, Jeno's been busy preparing for his coronation. He rarely ever comes outside from the castle's main building.

"You only have 20 minutes," Lucas said which alarmed Jeno.

"What?"

"You want to see her, correct? I'll give you twenty minutes but that's it," Lucas repeated, crossing his arms.

"Thank you so much!" Jeno cheered. When he was ready to dash off, Lucas holds out his hand on Jeno's chest.

"After your history lesson, you'll have sword fighting, which is my class. So don't be late. If you come late even just a second, that's 150 push-ups for you," Lucas warned, plastering a smug grin. Jeno visibly gulped and nodded his head, dashing out of the castle's main courtyard.
