"He's obviously not coming." The hag said, a hint of frustration in her voice.
"To think I actually trusted him." The wolf growled.
"Maybe the boy killed him?" The hag suggested.
The wolf raised an eyebrow at her. "He's a kid." He said.
"But, so is his brother, and he still killed Maugrum." The hag said.
the wolf growled warningly at her, causing her to immediately shut up.
"I suppose we'll just have to carry on our search." The wolf sighed.
The hag nodded in agreement. "Let's go."☆☆☆
Peter kicked a stone in frustration as he walked.
"How big is this bloody woods." He muttered under his breath as he sighed.
"Peter."
Peter stopped dead in his tracks. "Aslan?" He said.
"Peter."
Peter looked around him, but he was alone. "Aslan?" He tried again.
"Peter, go back." The voice said.
"Back?" Peter questioned, looking behind him.
"Go back, hurry."
Peter frowned before his eyes went wide. "Ed." He whispered before turning around and running back the way he'd come.
He ran through the woods as fast as he could, looking everywhere for Edmund.☆☆☆
Edmund lay on the floor, tears rolling down his cheeks. Peter had been within a hundred yards of him and he'd left.
He let out a sob as another sharp pain shot through his stomach, this one worse than the others.
He needed some water. He hadn't had a drink since that morning which meant his mouth was dry and he was having a hard time trying to swallow. He also was really hungry, but he'd left his bag at the top of the hill. He was really regretting not going to get it at this point, he hadn't eaten since lunch and hadn't exactly been eating properly since he came to Narnia either.
He let out a long shaky breath, his arm moving the slightest bit, causing him to gasp sharply. He let out a quiet sob. He couldn't do this anymore. The pain was too much, his eyelids felt heavy, his breathing slow. he let out a shaky breath, eyes finally closing before he eventually passed out.☆☆☆
Lucy lay awake, staring at the stars in the sky. She was worried about Edmund, worried about Peter.
She let out a sigh.
"Lucy?" Came a voice from beside her.
She turned to face Susan, smiling slightly. "Thought you were asleep." She whispered.
"I can't sleep." Susan muttered.
"Me either." Lucy said. "I want Peter and Edmund back." She added, tears filling her eyes.
Susan thought for a moment before quietly standing so as not to wake the others.
"What are you doing?" Lucy asked.
"I'm going to find them." Susan whispered. "You coming or what?"
Lucy's eyes went wide before she nodded. "Yeah." She said quickly, hoping up.
"Shh." Susan said. "Don't wake the others."
Lucy put her fingers to her lips before the two crept off into the woods.☆☆☆
Peter looked everywhere as he ran through the woods. He needed to find Edmund. He stopped for only a moment to catch his breath, looking around the surrounding area. His eyes went wide though when he spotted something. Or rather someone. He was lying face down on the floor, dark hair covering most of his face. But Peter didn't need to see the persons face to be able to tell who it was.
"Ed." He whispered before rushing to his brothers side.
He fell to his knees beside Edmund, panicking slightly as he rolled him onto his back. His eyes went wide in horror as he saw the huge gash on the side of his head, blood pouring out at an alarming rate.
He took a deep breath as he began to apply pressure. "Come on." He whispered, hoping beyond hope that it would stop bleeding.
His eyes scanned down the rest of Edmund's injuries as he took a deep breath. Cuts, bruises... a dislocated shoulder? Peter took a deep breath, swearing under his breath as he placed Edmund's arm so it was laying across his chest, he'd have to put it back into place soon.
"Please wake up Ed." He whispered. He stared at Edmund's chest, realising only now that he hadn't seen it move at all since he'd arrived.
He watched, holding his breath as his heart pounded in his chest.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his brothers chest slowly rise and fall. He waited, counting.
"1...2...3...4...5...6."
Edmund's chest rose once again, but not much, it was clear that he was having a lot of trouble breathing.
Six seconds. Peter sighed, that was too long. That was way too long.
He waited another six seconds and sure enough Edmund took another small breath.
Peter bit his lip. He needed to get Edmund back to Cair Paravel and to Lucy and her cordial.
He lifted Edmund off the floor so that he was now sat up. He immediately fell against Peter, Peter catching him quickly.
He wrapped his arms around his brother and lifted him off of the floor, bridal style. He grabbed Edmund's sword in his hand, holding onto it tightly.
Edmund's head fell against Peter's shoulder as he whimpered.
Peter's head snapped down to look at Edmund, hope in his eyes. But the look soon turned to disappointment when Edmund showed no signs of waking.
He sighed, holding Edmund close as he began to walk. He walked for ages, hours maybe. Edmund seemed to be getting heavier by the minute. It got to the point where he just had to put him down. He sat him in front of a tree and sat down beside him, taking a deep breath as he did.
He wrapped an arm around Edmund's shoulders, pulling him close as he kissed the top of his head.
"Oh Ed." He whispered. "I've been so worried." A single tear made its way slowly down his cheek as he kissed Edmund's head again, noticing that the gash had finaly stopped bleeding. He sighed in relief, but cringed at the sight of all the blood in Edmund's hair.
He leant against the tree, looking out at the woods until Edmund let out a sigh. He immediately looked down at him, a wave of relief hitting him as Edmund slowly started to open his eyes.☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡
