Chapter 4: The Window

"Adara....Adara honey open your eyes it's almost time for school..." a familiar voice welcomes me as I wake from my sleep. Its Janely.

"Huh?....Oh...yeah....school....okay..." I reply all groggy rubbing my eyes slightly.

I get up from my position and I realize that I'm not on my bed...I'm on my couch in the living room.

I guess I fell asleep last night as we were having a Teen Wolf marathon on Netflix.

Gosh that tv show is amazing...

I'm still in my clothes from yesterday. I get up and almost stumble on my feet but there was a coffee table there to save my life.

"Phew." I said to myself.

I walk up to the grand stair case and walk up the stairs to my room. I open it and it looks as how I left it last.

My phone on the bed, and everything else seemed to be in place.

I decide to go take a quick shower in my beautiful teal tiled bathroom.

For some reason this shower felt like one of the best showers I have ever taken in a long time, not because it was nice, but because it felt like I just washed all my feelings away, renewing myself.

After showering, I change into some jeans and a flower blouse.

I blow dry my hair and braid it back.

I brush my teeth and then I take out my makeup bag and apply a little bit of black eyeliner and lip balm that smelled like candy.

Satisfied with my look, I leave the bathroom and go to the kitchen.

Janely was humming a song that I didn't recognize while cooking some eggs and sausage.

"Good morning Janely!" I say smilling.

She turns around and smiles back.

"Good morning Adara! How'd you sleep? Since you slept on the couch. Haha." She laughed.

"I slept pretty well actually." I laughed, "Not bad for a couch!"

We both laughed.

"Well I made some eggs and sausage for breakfast! Go ahead and dig in! There's some already on the dining table." She tells me as she points to the lonely dining room.

"Oh okay thanks Janely!" I reply as I skip to the dining room enjoying the smell of breakfast.

Yumm....

I see two plates with eggs and sausage on them. Wait, where's Lianne?

As I sit down and grab my fork, I dig in. Man I'm so hungry. That's when I hear footsteps behind me.

Its Lianne  and she looks so sad.

"Why the sad face girl?" I ask.

"School.....ugh....I don't want to go..." she said giving a disapproving look. "Thank god its Friday though!!" And smiles.

"I know I feel you. Now hurry up and eat your food before I eat it, cuz I'm still hungry and the food sitting there isn't gonna help me." I say motioning for her to sit down.
