Watching you smile kills me. I wish I was the reason you were laughing. I want to be on the receiving end of that brilliant smile and watch as your eyes light up with laughter, see the galaxies in them swirl. I need it. And you're giving it to everyone but the one person in this place who needs it. But I swallow my pride and stand a good distance away, watching your request to be alone unfold. You asked for time to find yourself, and for you, despite how much it kills me, I cannot resist.

So I keep giving.

And you keep taking.

And like a cycle, my heart breaks all over again.
