Chapter 3 - Knowing Each other

She ran from the office. Out catching an auto she looked out. There she could see rains. She enjoyed it by waving her hand out. She was then disturbed by Neha.
"Kyaa huaa?" Neha asked.
"Sunn nahi paa rahi hu. I'll come and explain." She said and cut the call.
And then she realised what she had actually done. She has actually confessed to THE Ram Kapoor that she likes him so much and she inspires him for what he is.
What would she tell Neha? She'll start teasing her a lot.

After some 15 mins, though the rain didn't stop Priya ran towards her office drenched lightly but carrying the documents in a careful manner. While she enters inside, everybody congratulates her.
Without understanding the propensity of what is happening she looks around to find Neha for explanation. She runs to Neha after giving the documents to her boss.
"What is it Neha?" Priya asked her.
"It's your growth Priya!!!" Neha exclaimed Hugging her tightly, "what did you do to impress Ram Kapoor!?
"What what what happened here!!?" Priya asked out of so much of shock hearing the word impress.

"Hey Priya..... the executive Director is calling you" a guy told her.
She nodded a yes indicating she'll go and visit him.
She dragged Neha along with her.
"Hey" Neha protested.
"Come with me please. Am nervous." Priya said.
Neha calmed her down and they both went inside with an usual 'excuse me' and
'Come in' gesture.
"Congratulations Priya. You've been promoted from manager to The president of Agarwal industries." Declared the director.
"What!? Me!? But how sir!?" Priya asked being still in shock.

This would mean her salary would increase by 3 times. She can repay all her loans quickly.
"That's through recommendations Priya. But beware, if you do not prove to be proficient, you'll be demoted too!" Warned the director.
"Yes sir. I understand. I'll surely give my best." Priya said with confidence.

She was jumping inside like a rabbit. At last, she was here!! In a place where she wanted to be. She wanted to convey this to her family. Woooohhoo!!! She jumped.

Being the only child, she had got the responsibilities of taking care of her parents which she loved to do and now she can afford much luxurious things for her parents. She was happy for that.

"And here I assign you the first project file, Mission Vardhan." The director gleamed.
Priya stood there with a confused look.
"You'll have to fix up this deal with them for the supply of raw materials for their factory. Crack this deal and prove yourself." The director said.
Priya nodded and took over the file.

Both Neha and Priya came out of the cabin when Neha jumped and hugged Priya. Priya Hugged Neha back.

Soon, after sometime, Priya was given her own cabin to work. She spent so many hours working on this project as it was to be handled tomorrow.
After lots of analysations, she finally knew what to do.

That day, she took her parents out for dinner. They were a happy family. That night, back at home, she lay on the couch and relaxed her legs.
Sudhirji, her dad, her best friend, came out with a cup of tea.
"Tired are you,my child?" He asked.
"No papa. But a bit sleepy" she said.
"Promotions also get you lots of work isn't it?" He asked.
Priya nodded.
He gave her a kiss on her forehead and whispered "Good night".
Priya went to her bed, opened her mobile and saw a text from Neha "what have you decided Priya?"
She texted back "will tell you tomorrow Neha. Be there in time. Don't be late."
"Oh! So now you're the president you're ordering me huh!?" Neha texted back.
"Nothing like that Neha. I need you to be there for me,with me on my first big day!" Priya replied.
"I know sweetheart. Just kidding. Goodnight" She said.
Priya locked her phone after setting her alarm and sighed , " A long day ahead!!"

Next day at office,
Priya assembled all her things onto her new laptop bag which was given to her by the company. Now she had got her own car, a driver, provided by the company.
She took all those and went inside the car.
The car drove to Vardhan Industries.

She came out as soon as the destination was reached. She was greeted by many people to whom she greeted back sternly. Now she was being directed to the conference hall.

At the conference hall, the director of Vardhan Industries,Mr. Vardhan,spoke
"Look Ms. Sharma, you're new to the business. This is our offer. Accept it and the deal is....." before he could complete,
"Cancel this deal!" Priya shouted.

Everyone looked at her with awe.
"Didn't nobody hear!? Am asking you guys to cancel this deal. We have no idea of doing business with you guys. I was here to tell you that." Priya said.
She was very stubborn and didn't budge even when the rates were increased to above the expected price.

Neha barged in, and blurted out a "sorry".
Priya excuses her and asks her to cancel all this deal and walked out the hall. She asked Neha to follow her.

In the car back to Agarwal industries, Neha kept scolding Priya for cancelling the deal and she was telling constantly that she was going to be demoted soon.
Priya didn't speak anything. She was numb.

Back when she came to Agarwal industries, she went to the director's cabin to tell him what happened.
But she could already see that he was very upset already.
She knocked and went inside.
"What have you done Priya!'? You've screwed this deal up!? Why do you show this much attitude!? Don't forget, yesterday you were just a manger" he scolded without allowing Priya to speak anything.

There were utter silence of two mins after he had given lots of harsh words to Priya.
Then he said, "Enough Priya. You've failed me. You've failed us for representing you on behalf of the company. Though they were ready to give you higher prices, you didn't accept. Are you a fool!! You failed it Priya!"he shouted.

This brought tears in Priya's eyes.
She was not being given an opportunity to speak and she was blamed for everything. What was this!?

And then from somewhere back, she heard a voice , " Am very sorry Mr. Malhotra, but Priya didn't fail us" it said.

Priya turned back and exclaimed
" Mr. Kapoor !!!!"

He looked at her eyes which potrayed a great extent of honesty, a bit of hurt and the most greater was the confidence.

"She saved us."

That's for now.
