chapter 20: Parading

The train arrives into town and slowly down, the infantry begins watching as snare drums can be heard. The soldiers held their riffles with pride all with their chin up. Schultz starts marching with them, but keeping his chin up was hard, since guilt was nothing to celebrate.

The train trails behind them as the drums play. Jets fly over them in victory, some people cheered and some stared in horror of a giant being tied down to a train. Emilia still had her eyes closed, suddenly screaming and fear. The soldier guarding Emilia looms back and sees her eyes wide open. He jumps of the train

The captain fell off and yells "KAMERADEN, SIE IST WACH, ALLE MÄNNER SIND AUF DER HUT!!" (comrades, she is awake, all men be on guard)

Zussman stayed stern and looks back, not flinching "KEEP MARCHING... this achievement is mine to enjoy..."

Tehsoldiers stay un place. Otto, the leader of the planet, was with his royal guard, slowly coming out. The train stops before his home and he stares out the porch in disbelief. Zussman took a bow and looks up.

"Your welcome, noble kaiser", Zussman said

Otto stayed silent and he sent 2 guards to check the sight. Otto and his men dressed in royal and fancy teal uniforms with a helmet that has a single pike. Otto believes the giant to be fame and took a ruffle from his guard, and drove the bayonet on the cheek of the Emilia. She roars in pain out of nowhere, Otto jumped backs and fell.

"She... she is real!!" He yells.

Zussman had a snug look on his face as he whites the sweat off his bald head, but the grin left as soon as she spoke.

"Yes, you exellency, I am real..." she said to Kaiser Otto, "and there is no need to be afraid".

"No need? Forgive me, madame, but I do believe it's your kin that killed our people many years ago", he said

"Very true" she says "but they are no more-"

She was interrupted by zussman "don't worry, I'll make sure of that... so, Kaiser, I would like to rent a full stadium..."

Otto took the Jäger in privacy "I don't know what are you trying to pull, but I want to know why you need a full stadium"

"So everyone can see the last giantess...before she finally goes extinct", he said

"You are mad!"

"No, otto, I am correct, I've see what they do... and it's about time I end this...once and for all", Zussman says "the people are not keen on having a gi-"

"Fine, just shut up... you have your stadium... now what?"

"I want a whole day exhibit for the giantess, and I want it televised... it will be a lucrative project... enough for me to retire", he said.

Otto nods and they both shook on it, the announcement was made as Schultz would be tearing up more hearing the news about his mother being exhibited. The soldiers stayed in line and didn't even look at him once.

Emilia was now vied as a savage and a animal, she was all muddy, full of bruises, and was in rags that make her look primitive and poor. She didn't even react to the news, desperately looking for schultz, but to no avail, her head was tied down facing her left, Schultz was in row 100, position 4, meaning he was in the right side of the parade.

Emilia was slowly being moved by the train into her next destination. A huge iron wall with chains. They put a curtain over her to have as a surprise for the grand finally. She was chained and left there totally vulnerable as her hands and feet were chained. Now she hopes that her son can see her one last time before she is put down...
