The night was cool. Dark. The rain has just settled on this bleak little town, so the smell of ozone ran throughout the streets. He sat on top of a building, crouching, staring...
Waiting.
He was on an assignment. He had a target. Although he knew it would be difficult - the first time ever - he had to do it. Otherwise...

"Here you go." The Boss slid an envelope towards Him. "This is your target. He threatens my company, my resources, and my wealth and I want him gone. I'll give you a nice big check for your-"
"Cash." He said, voice gravelly.
"You want... Cash?"
"I get a far was of cash in my hand or I won't do the job. And, by the way, my payment is before the job. I need payment in advance."
"What?!" The Boss exclaimed. "You never specified any of that! I can't give you that much right now!"
"Then I guess we don't have a deal. I'll be off."
The Boss slammed the desk and stood up as He turned around to leave. "Don't you walk outta here!"
"Why should I listen to you? I'm not getting paid."
The Boss slammed the table again. "God dammit! Can you take off your mask at least so I can talk to an actual person?!"
He froze. He wore the mask for a reason. No one must know who he is.
"Well... I guess it doesn't matter." The Boss said as he sat back down. "I already know who you are, Ty Davis."
He slowly turned around to see a sadistic smile across The Boss's face. The big, fat, face of his had teeth whiter and more crooked than an unaligned spine.I
"What?" Ty said. "That name... Is not my name."
"Then what is it?" The Boss said, mockingly.
"Tex."

This was his job and he had to do it. No matter what. Even if it was a choice between two family members.
The man Tex's current boss wanted out of the picture was none other than his Uncle. The man who took him in. But, if he didn't kill his Uncle, then Tex's Aunt would die. The deciding factor was money. Besides, Tex is an outcast, destined to live in the shadows forever. He doesn't have a family anymore. This is just business.
Tex watched as his Uncle backed a truck into the alley. This was the moment.
His uncle stepped out of the truck and walked to the back, opening the trunk and unloading items. Tex stood and stretched a little. He lifted his arms and made two fists, inspecting his gear.
SHING!
His blades were in working condition. He peered back down at his target - a target and nothing more - and waited for the right moment...
Now.
Tex silently dropped down and walked up behind his Uncle. As he got closer he heard him talking. He was on the phone. Tex raised his arms and then froze.
"... Yeah yeah, I know. Yeah. Love you, too. No, I love you more. C'mon sweetie we know I love you more. Who took Ty in? Who arranged all the stuff every mother's day? Who brought you breakfast in bed this morning? I thought so."
Tex didn't want to. His arm dropped a little... But... He had to.
"I'll see you in a little bit, okay swee - "
His uncle dropped to the ground. His aunt's voice was unintelligible but could be heard from the phone. Tex's blade needed to be cleaned.
