"Elijah what the hell is that?!"

"It... Appears to be a super-powered rat."

Elijah was standing nearly face-to-face with this rat. Aiden was in the back of the room. Both of them were equally terrified, but Elijah was incredibly intrigued. He found this to be more research into his Elixir.

The rat bared its teeth and started to hiss. Elijah backed up slightly but continued to take some notes. Aiden got to his feet and tried his best to make something useful against a giant rat but he couldn't decide what to do.

"Okay, big guy," Elijah said calmly, "I won't hurt you if you don't hurt me. I can take care of you and you can help me develop the Elixir you just got a taste of, huh? What do you say?"

The rat didn't seem to comprehend English. It got into an attack position and scrapped its claws against the floor. Elijah backed up more. Meanwhile, Aiden had used the table material to make his hands into claws like the rat. He stared at his hands in awe.

"Elijah!" Aiden exclaimed. "Elijah, look!"

Elijah turned and saw the claws, smiling but wanting him to stop.

"Okay, good, but we can't hurt him. Not now. Not yet. Try your best to capture him, not kill - AAUGGH!"

The rat jumped on top of Elijah while his back was turned. It dug its claws into him and leapt off, bolting towards the door. Aiden was frozen solid where he stood.

"I... I'm sorry..." Aiden said.

"Don't be sorry, go after the thing!" Elijah said. He got into his knees and looked up at Aiden. "And don't kill it. Capture it. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Now go!"

Aiden looked down and the claws disappeared. He nodded at his brother and dashed out the door.

The hallway was partially destroyed. A few knocked over tables and plants. The rat's footsteps were indented into the floor. As Aiden followed them he noticed something: they were getting bigger. The rat was growing.

Aiden continued down the hall and turned into the main lobby area. The few people in the room were very frazzled and stunned. they kept looking at each other, eyes wide and jaws dropped, trying to get an explanation. Aiden continued through the lobby following the footprints and the destruction. Right as he was about to step through the doorway to the next hall a man grabbed his shoulder.

"Listen," He said. "You don't know me, but you will. I know you're freaking out and have no idea what to do but I have to tell you that you can do it. And you will."

The man was wearing very strange clothes. They were smooth and didn't look like any fabric Aiden has seen. He was wearing a sort of onesie with very simple looking shoes. A black line around the waist resembled a slight belt. The man's orange hair was not something common either, but didn't surprise him. The onesie seemed to be skin-tight, it was a light blue with a lighter blue collar and cuffs at the end of the sleeves.

"Who... Are you?" Aiden asked.

"You'll know later. No time. Go! Now! You will do it!" The Man pushed Aiden through the archway and when Aiden looked back the man was gone. But he decided to take what he said and continued to chase the rat.

The footsteps had gotten twice as big as an average man by the time they reached a shut door. The fact the door was shut surprised Aiden. But as he looked back, as the footsteps got bigger, the destruction was less present. He slowly reached for the doorknob but stopped as he grabbed it.

What was he to do? How would he capture the humongous rodent? That man said he can and will capture it. But how? And should he even believe him?
