"Hey! Don't touch that!" Elijah yelled at his brother.

"What?" He said. "I'm just trying to help!"

Elijah shook his head and looked his brother sternly in the face. "Listen here, you do as I say or do nothing at all."

Aiden got a bit upset and pouty. He begrudgingly agreed and Elijah went back to work. He was working on something for his college science class, a type of elixir that gives people something random for a few minutes. That was the hope. And Elijah held onto that hope. Adding some liquids here and there. Asking his brother to hand him tools or to turn things on and off. Aiden got slowly more and more bored. More and more irritated.

"There!" Elijah exclaimed after what felt like hours of work. "I think it's done! Now I just need... A way to test it..."

"I'll do it!" Aiden said, excitedly, and reached forward to grab it.

"No!" Elijah yelled as he jumped in front of Aiden . The short physicality of the situation caused the table to bump, the goal to spill over, and the elixir to splash everywhere - including inside the mouths of the brothers.

The pair felt a sort of uneasiness. The elixir was bitter and foul tasting, but it made their tongues numb and their throats tingle. Elijah's head began to pound as Aiden's fingers lost their feeling. The eldest passes out on the floor. The younger one tried his hardest to feel, he lost his sense of touch. He began to panic, he couldn't feel his face or his hands touching his arm. He went to grab the table for support when it completely collapsed, or so he thought, and the elixir's content spilled more over the floor. Aiden fell to his knees and stared blankly, losing his senses. Hearing went out. Then taste. Then smell... Then sight.

Elijah woke up very groggy. He rubbed his forehead, his headache had disappeared. He stated at the situation in front of him. His table top was gone. His brother was unconscious. His elixir was everywhere. The lab was a mess. Elijah decided to stand up and try to fix the situation.

"Well I have to take care of my brother first." Elijah said to himself. He placed his hand in front of Aiden mouth to check for breathing. He then checked for a pulse. Then, somehow, without realizing what he did, Aiden woke up with a jolt.

"Woah," Elijah said, "What did I just do?"

Aiden freaked out and adopted away from Elijah, staring at his hands, touching his face, looking around and sniffing, Aiden had his senses back.

"Elijah..." Aiden said softly, "I think... I think something happened."

"I do too."

"Your elixir... Worked."

Aiden raised his hands and looked towards where the tabletop used to be. Uncontrollably, Aiden's hands turned into the black substance the table was made of. Then he passed out again, hands turning back to normal.

Elijah stared curiously. He was not afraid, but instead rather intrigued. He wanted to investigate. Elijah grabbed a notebook and pen and began to write. He titled the first page of the notebook Elixir Data Log. The next page he wrote:

I believe the elixir gives... Super Powers. I have speculation that I have become smarter, I was able to do a technique I never learned on my younger brother, Aiden, to wake him up. I slowly am getting less afraid of what is happening and more Investigative. I have ideas flooding my mind. It is honestly giving me a slight headache, but I will be fine... I believe I just figured out how to make my own medicine. Time to test it out...

Yep.

Time passed and Aiden woke slowly to a bright white light. He cringed and covered his eyes, grunting.

"Oh! Sorry!" Elijah said, and the light turned off.

Aiden's eyes adjusted; he rubbed them and looked around. He could barely recognize the room. He was lying in a comfortable bed (which looked like one in a hospital), there was a light above him, diagrams and tools scattered the room too.

"Where am I?" Aiden asked, uncertainty in his voice. "What happened?"

"Oh, well, I'm pretty sure the Elixir gave us Super Powers."

"What?!"

"Yeah, I am still conducting research, but I believe the Elixir gave me near infinite knowledge and removed my fear. I even made my own medicinal tablet that works better than all other headache medication combined. And as to where you are, you are in the lab. I just took some mental pictures of their equipment and gathered materials and built this. You have only been out for... A couple hours I think. I'm nearly done filling out this journal of data. Though it has only been about me so I already titled that other notebook for your data. Now, could you do that thing again?"

"What thing?" Aiden asked, incredibly confused.

"The hand thing. Where your hand became to substance of the table top?" Elijah answered, intrigue in his voice.

"I... I can't control that."

"Don't worry I have some ideas. I have a feeling that your body will transform to what you need in any given moment. Your hand thing before was a fluke because of panic and the Elixir settling in. So here." Elijah handed Aiden a bowl of cereal. "Eat this."

"No spoon?"

"No spoon." Elijah said, smirking. "Yet." He grabbed his notebook and prepared to write. "Go on. Eat!"

Aiden hesitated. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what would happen. He sure as hell didn't want to hear cereal from a spoon made of table. But he was hungry. Aiden lifted his hand and went to reach for the cereal. His hand, uncontrollably, stuck out his first finger. His hand turned black and his finger altered its shape. The feeling was... Strange, to put it simply. Aiden sat and stared in shock and twitched due to the feeling.

Aiden's fingertip began to flatten and spread out. It formed an oval shape and then dipped down in the center. The edges smoother and the snapped finalized. Then the feeling stopped, the movement stopped, and Aiden's finger was, indeed, a spoon.

"Wonderful..." Elijah said enthusiastically while scribbling in the notebook. Aiden stated in astonishment.
