France. . .

He arrived late in his condo with a tired soul and body. Finally, exams were over, the semester break is fast approaching. That means, he can have his 4-week vacay back in South Korea.

Turning then wifi on, he launched Kakao talk. He was too tired to change his clothes and fix his school things so he decided to contact Mara.

After three rings, she answered. ["Oppa~~ you called...how are  you?"]

"Great as always, Mara. Anyways, how's Carissa? She hasn't contact me for so long..." His voice sounded down and low. Just the thought of his dongsaeng not keeping in touch hit him hard in the chest.

["Uhm..."] Mara stuttered on the other line whether to tell Suho the truth or not. Sure, Suho did know the latest news about Kris but he had can do nothing about it. He gave up on contacting his most trusted friend, as soon he lost sight of him.

["Yah, give me that phone."] He knew who's voice came from. ["Yeoboseyo ahjusshi? Please stop flirting with my girlfriend."]

"Arraseo, kkamjong." It was Kai. "Now, how's Cari-sshi doing right now."

["She's doing fine, hyung.]

"I see.  Where is she now? Can I talk to her?"

["Mianhe hyung, but I can't tell you where she is."] Kai dropped the call after saying that.

Suho, without a care, threw his phone hard on the floor. He had enough, he can't take it anymore. He inhaled and exhaled hard, trying to calm the usual angel he once was.

He regretted so much.

After all those siblinghood years they spent, filled with memories and laughter would just turn out like this. He did all his best to be the best oppa to ber —but more than just that. He cared for her, treat her like his own and even protected her in many ways.

He now realized, what a blind coward fool he was to not realize his long condemned feelings towards Carissa. True, he was there even before Kris. If it wasn't for him, she wouldn't set her eyes to another man.

He was too kind, too understanding, and too considerate all the time. Maybe it's time for him to make move, even if that means rejection in the end.

Sibling-zoned,  as you may call it.

Still at the café inside, I reluctantly stirred my cappucino. I noticed that the waiter looked at me with pity so he went over to me.

He handed out a few folded napkins that had it's café logo on it, "is it a bad breakup, ma'am?"

Stopping my sobs I gently replied, "nope.  I had a bad day. Thank you."

With that, the waiter let me mourn alone and had let me finish my busiess. I smiled a bit, at the gentleman thought of the lad. Yeah, Kris was nothing like that.
