Hey guys, it's the author. I have come to inform you that this story is almost over. Sad. But it's never over! I'm going to make that oc backstory + minisode book after I'm done! Stay fresh~

Cobalt POV

He climbed the last step to a loud cheer from a crowd full of Octolings and Octarians. There was a floating platform, with a glass rim, and scary looking weaponry under it. Someone was standing in the middle of it, her back turned away from them.

She spoke, and Cobalt gasped, as he recognized the voice.

It was Silica, dressed in a costume that Cobalt turned red at the sight of.

"That's so revealing." Aria looked absolutely disgusted. "Why are you turning red?" She turned to him, and her face turned into a grimace. "Don't tell me that you like this stupid outfit..."

"No! N-no I don't! I just like..." Cobalt stammered.

"Her?" Aria raised an eyebrow. She looked slightly amused. Suddenly, Silica turned around, glasses shining in the spotlights.

"Enough!" Silica spoke. "I told you to go away! And did you listen? NO! I know about your stupid girlfriend! Don't even pretend you like me!" Aria raised her other eyebrow.

"Are you cheating-" Aria narrowed her eyes.

"No-" Cobalt looked shocked. "How did you know about Violet, even though she came here after you 'left'?" She scoffed.

"None of your business. I bet this *ahem* girl here is also you girlfriend?" Cobalt shook his head fiercely. "Just leave." She shot her fist into the air. "Start it, Octarva!" There was a metallic clanking noise, and the giant floating platform ground to life. "If you're not going to leave, I'll make you do so!"

Metallic arms shot out of the bottom of the platform. Both of the "hands" had three claw-like fingers. Silica pushed her right arm forward forcefully, and the right robot arm also did the same.

"I see..." Aria whispered thoughtfully. "Silica's body movements control that robot..." She smiled.

"Aha! Then we got to make her do a weird position that makes the robot do the same!" Cherry exclaimed excitedly, as if she was answering a test question.

"Correct! Come on, Cobalt! You got this!" Aria pumped her arm. Cobalt smiled awkwardly, then ran forward. Silica started singing, and Cobalt stopped, wanting to see. "No! Keep going!" Aria yelled over Silica's voice. Cobalt nodded, then kept running.

One of the robotic hands grabbed Cobalt, picking him up into the air.

"Shoot it! We're all coming, wait a bit." Ray was speaking in such an excited tone, that Cobalt barely recognized her voice. He nodded, then shot at the arm. It loosened, and Cobalt sent a kittydog into it's palm. It burst one of the fingers off, and Silica fell back onto the platform, shocked.

"Hmm. So she gets hurt when that...thing gets hurt? Perfect." Marie spoke in a smug tone. Cobalt swam around, seeing out of instinct if Silica was okay.

"Isn't it~" Nori chirruped, joining in with Marie's idea. Cobalt winced at the thought of what they were going to do.

"Don't hurt her..." Cobalt muttered, dodging a shot from the robot's rapid-fire Ink Cannon. There was a short period of silence, then Cobalt heard Silica's voice again.

"Ah! You know what to do, Cobalt." Marie finally broke the silence. Cobalt narrowed his eyes, and let himself get grabbed by the left hand. He shot at it, then sent a bomb into it's clasp instead.

"Ugh!" Silica had fallen over again, but she got right back up, and started singing again. Cobalt kept swimming around the perimeter of the boss-fighting platform, waiting for Silica's next move.

I never thought Silica was going to be my greatest opponent in all of the time I've been an agent...

Bam!

Cobalt was smacked onto the ground, by the robot's rock-hard smacc. Cobalt was reminded of Cherry's rage at him, and he was filled with a new wave of confidence. He didn't care that his armor was broken. He got up, and faced the arms. When he was grabbed up but both hands, he shot it, then, when it loosened, he jumped up onto Silica's platform.

"Huh?" Silica stopped singing, and backed up.

"We're here!" Cherry was waving from Sheldon's flying truck, along with all the others, waving and cheering. Cobalt watched as it touched the ground to pick Aria up, then it flew up above Cobalt and Silica.

"Here, shoot her in the glasses with these," Marie handed Aria her special low-tide ink charger, and Aria gasped in amazement. She cocked the charger, and hit Silica squarely in the hypno-shades. They fell off, and fell down to the ground, unseen.

"No!" Silica reached down, but Cobalt knew Silica couldn't reach it. He pulled her to her feet, then spoke.

"Silica... please try to remember...I know you're in there somewhere!" He held her hands clasped in his pleadingly, but she ripped them away with a scowl.

"I remember everything you said. Octarva is my master, and you shall say nothing against it!" Silica did a shaking motion, and Cobalt was pushed off the platform. The others luckily caught him, so he wasn't hurt.

Aria was scrunching her eyebrows together in concentration. "Octarva...I've heard that so many times...Why...why don't I remember when?!" Cobalt walked over, then flinched. He didn't want Silica to think anything else about him. He sighed.

"I'm going back down. I need to finish this," Cobalt turned into a squid, and super-jumped down to the fighting pit. He was determined to save Silica, if not even more than before. Octarva was the worst to do such a thing. He grit his teeth and got ready for Silica's next attack. It was another smacc, so Cobalt dodged it easily, thinking about what to do.

"Wait, so where even is this Octarva?" He asked quickly, dodging another smacc.

"I'm going to assume that she's in the heart of that robot." Ray said abruptly, staring at the mechanism of the robot. Cobalt nodded, and was grabbed by the hands again. This time, he swung under the hands, and grabbed onto the mechanisms underneath the platform. He hung onto it with one hand, and shot it using the gun in his other hand. Pieces of it broke off, revealing a cockpit.

"She looks like a girl Octavio. LOL." Nori examined the driver in the hidden cockpit.

"Pshh! She just looks like this because she's not turning into a proper Octoling yet!" Silica answered, rolling her eyes. Just then, Cobalt noticed her pupils. Instead of the four-leaf clover shaft they were usually in, there were red X's.

That must be why the hypnotization hasn't worn off at all! But it must've been a little weakened, at least.

Cobalt started to ponder his choices. Suddenly, he had the perfect plan.

"Hey, where are you going?" Cherry had noticed that Cobalt was walking away. He super-jumped back up to Octarva's cockpit, and broke the glass. He winced as the shards hit him, but he had finally made it in.

"What. Are. You. Doing?!" Octarva had finally spoken, and not in a friendly or professional way. He pushed her out of the cockpit, to the bottom of the fighting pit, and searched the whole entire dashboard. He finally found the button he was looking for.

"Stop Hypnotization: Emergency Only" He pressed it, and the whole platform lurched. He super jumped out to safety, but Silica was losing her balance, and she tripped over the edge.

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SO LONG IT TOOK LIKE 2 WHOLE HOURS and it's like 5 am for me...

Ooh, I love suspense ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
