Bittersweet // Jensoo

Chapter 13

Jisoo woke up earlier than before to avoid eating breakfast with Jennie. They went to the school together later but it was rather quiet in the car. Usually it'd be Lisa and Rosé sitting in front and Jisoo Jennie at the back but Jisoo went to the car earlier and sat on the passenger seat first. They noticed Jennie frowned a little but she didn't say anything.

"I will be staying after school these days, y'all don't need to wait for me after school" Jisoo said after a while

"Why?" Rosé asked

"I have practice" Jisoo said

"Practice for what?" Lisa asked

"I'm joining the talent show" Jisoo said

They were surprised.

"Really? Why?" Lisa asked

"Well Jin Young asked me to be his partner so I agreed" Jisoo said

"Oh" Rosé said

They don't know who's Jin Young but both Lisa and Rosé felt that it's a sensitive name so they didn't keep on asking. Lisa took a glance at Jennie from the mirror and saw Jennie looking away, her face is obviously unhappy.

"When's the talent show?" Lisa asked

"Three weeks later, that's why I have to stay back everyday, we're short on time" Jisoo said

"What are you performing?" Rosé asked

"We haven't discuss yet but I was thinking something like dance-acting, like we act through our dance moves" Jisoo said

"Sounds nice" Lisa said

The conversation ended then and they arrived at school soon. Lisa parked the car and they went to each others class. Apparently, Jisoo and Jennie had the same schedule that day. Both of them doesn't know if its a good thing or a bad thing.

Anyway, Jisoo walked to their class and Jennie slowly follows behind. Jisoo sat down and Jennie took a seat behind her. Jennie lay on the desk and watch as Jisoo takes out her books and stationery and organised them on her desk. She thought about what had happened last night and wanted to talk to Jisoo. Jennie gathered her courage and was about to call Jisoo when suddenly a classmate interrupted her actions.

"Jisoo, Jin Young's looking for you!" the classmate shouted

Jennie looked at the door and saw a boy standing outside smiling at Jisoo. Jennie frowned and asked Jungkook who's sitting beside her:

"Who's that?"

Jungkook lifted his head and looked at the door, he thought for a while and said:

"I think he's Jin Young, you know? A senior, quiet popular these days"

"For what?" Jennie asked

"Well I've heard a lot of girls like him, he's a good dancer, he treats everyone nicely and he's good looking" Jungkook said

"You call that good looking?" Jennie asked unbelievably

Jungkook nodded his head immediately,

"Of course!" he exclaimed

Well to be fair, Jin Young is indeed really good looking, but the only good looking people in Jennie's heart is herself and maybe Jisoo, and right now she's starting to dislike Jin Young for spending a long time with Jisoo so she finds him ugly.

Just then, the bell rang and Jisoo and Jin Young seemed like they've finished their conversation. Jisoo waved at Jin Young and Jin Young ran away. Jisoo walked back to her place with a smile on her face. Jennie was watching her the whole time and suddenly they met each other's eyes. Jisoo seemed a little shocked but Jennie looked back at her calmly. Jisoo slightly nodded her head and sat down back at her place without saying anything.
