Bittersweet // Jensoo

Chapter 12

Just as she expected, her phone rang right when she finished showering. She closed the water and picked up her phone:

"Yes?" she asked

"Ms Jennie, Ms Kim is back now" the guard said

"How did she came back?" Jennie asked

"Someone fetched her back with a bike" the guard replied

Feeling suspicious, Jennie thanked the guard and hung up the phone. She quickly got into her clothes. Unfortunately, she accidentally touched the wound on her hand while putting on the clothes and causing a little tear to form in her eye but she couldn't care less. Her face squished together and she forced the pain away. She wiped away the tear and rushed down the stairs. She heard sound of the door opening and Lisa greeted:

"Hello Jisoo!"

"Hey" Jisoo said

Jennie frowned, Jisoo sounded tired. She walked down and said:

"You're back"

Much to Jennie's surprise, Jisoo avoided eye contact with her, Jennie's not sure if it was on purpose or what but she definitely felt weird. Three of them were expecting Jisoo to say something but she didn't. After a few seconds of silence, Jisoo said while walking away:

"I'll be upstairs"

"How did you came back?" Jennie asked

Not wanting to explain or continue the conversation, Jisoo kept on walking away and said:

"That's none of your business"

Three of them were shock by Jisoo's harsh words. Jennie wasn't happy about that attitude but she didn't wanted to fight with Jisoo. Seeing Jisoo walking away, Jennie remembered that she hadn't eat yet.

"Wait, your dinner's ready, I ..." Jennie shouted

"It's okay, I'm not hungry, just throw it away or something" Jisoo cut off Jennie's words and she started to walk faster, it seems as if she's running away. Jisoo disappeared at the end of the staircase when Jennie finished her sentence:

"...made them for you" she said

Three of them sensed that something wasn't right. Lisa nervously chuckled and said:

"Maybe she took her dinner already"

Knowing how much effort Jennie had put in the dinner, Rosé looked at Jennie and asked worriedly:

"You okay?"

Jennie took a deep breathe and forced a smile, she lifted her head and said:

"Yeah, like what Lisa said, maybe she took her dinner already"

"Okay" Rosé said

Jennie shrugged and walked back to her room, Rosé and Lisa sensed the sadness in her eyes but they did not stop her. They were just as confuse as Jennie and had no idea what to say. They walked over and packed up the foods and kept it in the refrigerator even though they knew it was a meaningless action, the food will all be rotten the next day anyway.

Not knowing what to do, they decided to go back to Rosé's room. They walked up the stairs and saw an unexpected scene. Jennie walked out from Jisoo's room and Jisoo slammed the door. Jennie stomped back into her room and slammed the door too.

Lisa and Rosé exchanged glances.

"This is bad" Lisa said

"We should go talk to them" Rosé said

"Okay I'll find Jisoo" Lisa said

"Hey I don't wanna face Jennie now" Rosé complained

"Why not? She's your friend!" Lisa said
