Chapter 30

"Mother, father" Jennie greeted

Her parents were sitting at the living room, watching television.

"How was the trip?" Jennie's father asked

"Fine" Jennie replied

"I have something to say" Jennie said

Jennie's mother turned off the television

"Did mother showed you the video?" Jennie asked

"What video?" Jennie's father asked

"Jennie you wouldn't want you father to see it" her mother warned

"What is it?" her father asked again

"Mother, show him" Jennie said

Her mother glanced at Jennie, she was just threatening Jennie before about showing the video to her father, both of them knew what would happened if Jennie's father knew, her eyes were asking 'why are you doing this?'.

But, Jennie was very cleared about her actions, she had decided to admit her relationship with Jisoo to her father. And she's ready to bear any consequences.

"Show me" her father repeated

Jennie's mother took out her phone, she opened the video and passed it to him.

Jennie watched as her father's face turned darker and darker, halfway through the video, her father smashed the phone on the floor and closed his eyes. He started taking really deep breathes as if he was forcing himself to calm down. Jennie saw his hands clenched into knuckles and his fists were literally shaking.

"Fath-" before Jennie could finish the word, her father slammed the sofa and angrily said:

"Explain yourself"

Jennie took a deep breath and said:

"The video explained itself"

Jennie's father stood up from the sofa, his breathe went deeper and he looked at Jennie, Jennie's mother stood up and held her father's hand, she looked at Jennie and said:

"Jennie don't talk to your father like that"

Before Jennie could say anything, her father shook her mother's hands off and raised his hand, his tone got even tighter and he said:

"I'm giving you another chance, say none of this is real"

Jennie looked back at her father's eyes and said:

"Father, I know you're disappointed but I'm sorry, it is what it is, I-"

Before Jennie could finish, her father swinged his hands down and slapped her face. It was so hard that her head literally turned over to the side. It went red and it swelled up immediately.

"No don't!" Jennie's mother shouted, but she was too late

Jennie turned back her head and looked at her father's face, her heart died a little when she saw no sign of regret on her father's face. Jennie bitterly smiled and said:

"Father I love her"

"What do you know about love!" her father shouted and raised his hands again

But this time, Jennie's mother was faster, she grabbed his hands tightly.

"Let me go" Jennie's father said

"This isn't going to solve anything, you have to calm down" her mother said

"Look, Jennie, go back to your room first, we'll talk later" her mother said

"No, mother-" Jennie said
