(Flashback)
It all started 7 years ago, the war on Planet Phoenix. It was the place Jake and his sister Veronica lived with their parents.Veronica's POV:
The day started out great. I was starting first grade, and my brother was starting fifth grade. It was his last year in elementary school before he would become one of those cool middle school kids. Despite all that, Jake didn't care about those cool kids, he cared about how I felt. He treated me like a baby even though I was six. I didn't mind because it was his way of showing that he loved me and that he cared.
Jake's POV:
I was playing with Pokémon cards with my friends Robbie , Zeus, and Mark. They were all a year older than me, but that didn't stop our friendship one bit. They were all starting they're first year of middle school and by the looks of their face, I can tell they were all pretty skeptical, especially Robbie, who was the geek and nerd of our friend group. I mean he should be more excited because it's school, and I know that geeks like Robbie enjoy homework and studying.
Robbie's POV:
Okay fine, I was feeling very nervous, but it's middle school, and those bullies in middle school are more intenser than ever. I remember back in 5th grade, Jake had to fight my bullies away. I was glad that he did, but at the same time it was embarrassing. A fourth grader was helping a fifth grader with his battles?? Anyways Jake's mother came over and gave us a batch of cookies. They tasted good for us, except for Jake apparently.
Jake: (angry) Mom, why do you always make the same batch of cookies?!!
Jake's mom: (frustrated) That's it Jake, I'm tired of your complaining, now eat those cookies up with your friends, or I'll take your Pokémon cards away.
Jake: (sighs) Fine I'll eat the cookies mom.
Jake's mom: (happy) That's my boy. (Pats him in the head).
In the meanwhile, Veronica came to Jake and his friends and asked if she could play Pokémon cards with them.
Veronica: (begs) Big brother Jakey!! Can I play Poké cards with you and your cool friends?!! Pretty please!!
Robbie: (frustrated) It's not called Poké cards, it's called Pokémon cards!!!
Veronica: (angry) I can call it whatever I want you big doofus!! (Sticks her tongue out).
Jake: (strict) Now Ronnie, be nice to Robbie, he's very sensitive.
Robbie: (Cries) You got that right bro, (whines) And I'm not a doofus!!!
Veronica: (argues) Oh yes you are!! Only a doofus like you Cries like that!!!
Robbie: (Cries) Stop being mean to me Ronnie.
In the meanwhile, Jake's mom comes over to see what's going on.
Jake's mom: (concerned) Is everything alright in here??
Robbie: (Cries) Mrs Williamson, your daughter called me a doofus!!!
Mrs. Williamson: (angry) Veronica, what did I tell you about treating people kindly.
Veronica: (annoyed) You should treat everyone the way you wanna be treated, but treat stinky Robbie more kinder because he has emotional issues.
Robbie: (Cries) She called me stinky?!!!
Mrs Williamson: (angry) That's it Veronica, your going to school early since you were being mean to Robbie again apparently?!!
Veronica: (whines) But I don't wanna!! I wanna go to school with big brother Jakey!! It's his last year in elementary school before he becomes one of the cool kids.
Jake: (comes to Veronica) If I go to school with you, will you promise to be nice to Robbie??
Veronica: (shakes her head) Yes I'll be nice to Robbie.
Jake: (questions) Promise??
Veronica: (sniffs) Promise.
Jake: (happy) That's my good little sister. (Pats her in the head).
