Who Is It?- Riku x Sora

Chapter 7

(A/N: This chapter and if I feel like it, the next few chapters will be Riku's POV! I might just alternate between Sora's and Riku's pov and whenever I feel I need a fangirl, it'll be Kairi's pov~ Also its 1:30 AM right now. Yes, yes I know. I have really healthy sleeping schedules! It's okay to praise me☆)

Riku's POV

I woke up on my bed as usual. Though something about my room seemed different. It was like there was a few more things that weren't always here.

A thermometer, a bag, a bowl, and a person.

Wait.. a person?

Right beside me was Sora sleeping. He was sitting on a stool with his head rested on my bed.

"S-Sora?"

I took the blanket covers off of me. When I stood up, a towel fell from my head. I carefully walked out my room. I walk to my couch and sit down.

Why is Sora here? Am I forgetting something?

I stand up and walk around my house. No matter how I much I thought, I couldn't remember inviting Sora over... Oh yeah, I was supposed to help him study yesterday.. Did we end up studying? I can't remember....

I head loud stomps coming towards me.

"R-Riku! Are you feeling okay enough to be walking around?" Sora came running towards me.

"Sora, you woke up? You were sleeping right beside me a minute ago."

"D-don't get any wierd ideas, okay? I-I was just tired from taking care of you," Sora was blushing as he said this.

"I didn't say anything."

"Anyways! Are you really feeling okay enough to be roaming around like this?" Sora seemed really worried.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked.

"What do you mean! You're sick, aren't you? You had a fever for the past days."

Sora looked closely at me.

"Are you really okay now?" Sora asked.

"I had a fever?"

"Yeah, and I stayed over your place to take care of you. Kairi came over to help," Sora said.

"Ah.. sorry. I guess I made you two worry."

"You bet, you did! I was really worried! You slept for the entire day yesterday," Sora said.

"Oh.. I did?"

"Riku... you don't remember?" Sora asked.

Sora always tells me stories about how he takes care of me, but I'm never able to recall them.

I shook my head.

"Oh..," Sora said, fidgeting around with his fingers.

"Did something unusual happen while I was sick?" I asked.

"H-huh? Oh... unusual? N-no, none that I can think of...," Sora said avoiding eye contact.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Y-yeah," Sora said.

"...Sora, you can't lie to me. You suck at lying. So tell me what happened," I said.

"Nothing happened! Nothing at all!"

"Sora," I said. "Why can't you tell me?"

"Oh no! It's my mother. She's calling me for outside. I have to go now. Oh, and take your medicine just in case. Also Kairi told me to tell you whenever you're got better," Sora said, then clearing his throat.

But I don't see anyone outside the windows...

"You better pay me back for this! We're all going to Destiny Islands together. You better!" Sora tried impersonating Kairi's voice.

"Haha," I laughed. "Well, tell me when we want to go visit Destiny Islands then," I said.

"Okay!" Sora said opening the door and leaving.

All alone now, I guess. ...I'm going to ask Kairi if she knows why Sora was acting wierdly.

I dialed Kairi's phone number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello? Is this Riku?"

"Yeah it is," I said.

"R-Riku!? You're all better now?" Kairi asked.

"Yeah, I don't feel sick," I said.

"That's great! You should have seen how worried Sora was!" Kairi chuckled. "Anyways, what did you call for?"

"Well... I just talked with Sora and... he was acting a bit strangely," I said.

"Aaah," Kairi said.

"Do you know something?" I asked.

"Kind of," Kairi said.

"Can you tell me?" I asked.

"Well.. I don't know the whole picture, but there's one thing you should know. You act really different when you're sick. It's like gap moe!"

"Gap moe?"

"Sorry, my inner weeb- I mean, it's nothing! Ignore that! So the thing you need to know is you act differently..."

"Am I the reason to Sora acting like this?"

"Ah, Riku~ You're so worried. Even though you are always teasing Sora, you really do care!"

I stayed silent, ignoring that last sentence.

"Well, to answer your question, probably. I mean, Riku, you said something to me too."

"I... did..?"

"Oh sorry, did I say that out loud? Well anyways, you guys should talk it out."

"Do you have any idea what I might have done?"

"Uhhh.... nope! Good luck asking Sora! I need to study right now. Also, you're taking me to Destiny Islands tomorrow," Kairi said before hanging up.

I received a message from Kairi.

Kairi: Btw I'm usually just teasing you two because of the fujoshi I am, but you're totally into Sora, aren't ya~

Um...

Me: What do you mean....?

Kairi: Haha, if you want to play dumb, go right ahead. I gotta go.

What exactly happened was something that seemed like I'd never be able to find out.
