Who Is It?- Riku x Sora

Chapter 20

(A/N: I'm debating how long I should make this fic go for. Hmm well time will tell~I may or may not be updating more this week. I've been busy with an essay due as a final ;-; but I'm hoping to write more chapters this week.)

Riku's POV

Today was the long awaited day of the firework festival. I've been sitting out on this freezing afternoon waiting for Kairi and Sora to come.

I peeked over at my phone to check the time.

"They're.... late," I whispered to myself.

I relaxed and positioned myself on the bench I was sitting on. I could almost feel my eyelids dropping. I was able to fall asleep any moment from now.

"I have arrived! Sorry, I'm late. Wait, are you snoring?"

I popped up from my seat and looked down. It was Kairi.

"How do I look?" Kairi asked.

Kairi showed off her outfit. She wore a yukata. I think she was wearing make-up, but I honestly couldn't tell. I think Kairi was waiting for me to say something about it, but I didn't. She wore a bunny shaped hair clip.

"Oh, you put your hair up in a pony tail with that black ribbon," Kairi said.

"Yeah, you did say that I should so I did."

"Where's Sora though?" Kairi asked.

"Not here yet... it seems."

"I'm already an hour late! Yay! I beat Sora. He should be ashamed," Kairi said.

"Don't go pinning the guilt on Sora when you just as guilty. I was just about to fall asleep," I said.

"Tch."

"Anywho, I'm not waiting any longer. Let's go get something to eat. I haven't ate anything yet."

"Sure."

"But you're paying since you made me wait this long."

"Whaaaat. C'mon, don't be so stingy. Aren't we beeeest friends?" Kairi said.

"Yes, we're such good friends that you made me wait a whole hour."

"You're still hung up about that. You need to learn to let things go y'know," Kairi said.

I glared at Kairi.

"F-fine, what do you want to eat?" she asked.

"Get me whatever looks good," I said.

"Don't blame me if you get something you don't want," Kairi said as she left.

I looked up at the sky as I was back to being by myself.

I sighed loudly.

"....I wonder when the moron is going to come. He's taking forever," I said alouf unconsciously. "I wonder... what he thinks of me. What would he say if I told him I liked him....."

"....Idiot, what are you in love with me or something. Why'd you say something like that?"

I recognized Sora from his voice. He seemed pretty happy for some reason.

"W-What did you mean by what you said just now? You were talking about me, weren't you?" Sora asked.

"Who knows. It could have been Kairi for all we know."

"You've already told me you don't like Kairi. A-and that you like b-boys as well," Sora said. "So you can't run away this time-"

"Heeeey! I'm back with the food. Oh Sora, you finally came. Let's eat together!" Kairi said.
