Chapter 11

(A/N: So I guess my story is eligible for  the wattys thing. Uh I dont really ever participate but that's cool. Anyways! After this chapter, I will finally make some proper progress in their relationship!! Yesssss. ;) So excited.)

Sora's POV

The virus was finally gone from our town, and we were back to our normal days of attending class.

I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. So much happened... Perhaps too much.

I told Kairi how I felt about her, but I got rejected. Should have expected as much, right? The funny thing was that Riku was the person to cheer up. I'm kind of thankful for him...

"Sora, what are you doing day dreaming when school's already ended?"

The voice sounded like Riku. Riku....

I bent my head upwards and saw Riku's face. He looked a bit beautiful...

"No! No! He's not one bit beautiful. What am I thinking??" 

"Sora?"

I realized that I was half awake the entire time.

"Ah! I thought I was dreaming...... Riku? What are you doing in my classroom? It's usually Kairi who gets me out the classroom....," I said.

"You do know that you've been avoiding Kairi this entire day, right?" he asked.

"W...Well kind of...," I admitted, feeling a bit guilty.

Flashbacks~

First time:

"Hey! Sora, lend me your eraser, will you?" Kairi asked.

I turned my face the other way.

Second time:

"Hey, Sora! Wanna hang out together with Riku after we finish with all our tests? Maybe even tomorrow?" Kairi asked.

"...I need to go to the restroom." I said.

Third time:

"Sora? You want to have a talk about yesterd-"

"I'm going to go get something from my locker."

End of flashbacks~

"She's probably took it the wrong way by now. Especially, since she tried so many times to have a conversation with you," Riku said.

"I can't help it... How do I face her?" I asked.

Riku sighed at me, shaking his head in displeasure.

"Sora, let's go outside first."

Riku grabbed onto my hand and dragged my out the classroom. He didn't let go of my hand even after we walked out.

"R-Riku... can you let go?" I asked.

The strange thing was that I didn't mind it too much...

"No, I won't," Riku said, squeezing my hand even more.

My heart was beating a lot faster. It's like that other time..! W-why is my body reacting this way?

"O-ouch! R-Riku, if you squeeze any harder, it's going to hurt a lot," I said.

Riku stayed silent for a bit.

What's with this atmosphere..?

"Cause if I let go, you'll run away," Riku said.

"H...huh? What do you mean by that?"

This is totally the kind of timing where someone would confess to someone?! Wait, why am I getting excited like this. Riku would never like someone like me! Plus, he's a guy!!
