Whistle

I am unsure when exactly my part of this story takes place. 

I believe it was during the summer of 2017. 

I was sitting on my mother's bed while chatting with her when she had to leave to use the restroom. 

I stayed on her bed and was playing on my phone when I heard a melodic whistle on the other side of the wall which was the kitchen area. 

It honestly sounded like my brother because he often will whistle while making his way through the house. 

I was confused because I didn't remember hearing him walk out through the kitchen. 

I stood from my mother's bed and went to investigate, thinking perhaps he had come out without me noticing. 

When I peered around the corner, I was shocked to see nothing there. 

No trace of my brother. 

In fact, it was then did I realize my brother wouldn't be awake for another couple hours due to him working a night shift at work. 

When my mother came out, I explained to her what happened. 

She seemed confused, but didn't think anything of it. 

I too brushed it off. 

That is until fall of 2018. 

During the fall of 2018, my uncle bought my grandparents' old property from my cousin who had been living there. 

There was a lot of work to be done as it was an old trailer with a leaky roof. 

One day, my uncle was working on the furnace in the hall when he heard a strange melodic whistle coming from down the hallway. 

He thought it was my cousin who was with him that day, and brushed it off casually. 

When my cousin walked into the trailer, he realized that my cousin wasn't even in the house when the whistle was heard, and there was no explanation.

During the same fall, my uncle had his camper set up in the driveway of the property. 

Again, he heard the whistling while inside the camper. 

Once again, he was alone, but he knew my cousin was just outside the camper. 

My uncle asked my cousin if he was whistling while outside, to which my cousin denied it being him. 

After the events with my uncle, he informed my mom about the strange whistle he had heard. 

This is when she told him that I had a similar experience in our home. 

With both minds together, they came up with the theory that it was my grandfather. 

According to them, it was not uncommon for my grandfather to whistle tunes throughout his days.
