Link's Perspective:
The next hour crawled by incredibly slowly. I spent the majority of the time wandering around the Domain. I figured I looked so solemn that nobody bothered approaching me. Even young Sidon turned to leave after he noticed my negative mood.
My stomach grumbled, but I was too nervous to eat. I already felt my innards twist into a knot and I thought that eating food would do nothing to soothe my nausea. How I managed to screw up so horribly and seemingly irritate everybody around me... It was a feat only I could pull off.
I noticed everybody around me had disappeared. I never realized that it was drizzling until now, explaining the odd empty walkways. Pressure caved in my chest and I couldn't help but feel the need to scream in frustration. I turned my eyes to the sky, stormy clouds hiding the sun from sight.
I shook off the feeling and put my head in my hands. I was an idiot. "Idiot," I repeated to myself. The rain poured faster, like it was reflecting my mood.
Heavy droplets beat my skin, thoroughly soaking my shirt and forcing me to shiver at the sudden frigidity. My hair came undone and fell around my head like a melting halo, cold strands clinging to my face and mixing with the tears that had begun to drip down my cheeks in rhythm with the storm.
The wind slashed my skin and I openly shivered. I considered returning inside but I couldn't deal with people now. Especially not when I'd be bombarded with questions when I looked like this.
I didn't hear the footsteps approach until the arms gently wrapped around my shoulders and held me close to a warm chest.
I hoped it was Zelda.
But I knew it wasn't.
