Link's Perspective:

I expected to be awaken by the beautiful girl I slept next to on the floor. Instead, I was jabbed awake by Mipha, who repeatedly begged me to sit up and answer a question. "Link," she said, poking me over and over until I was awake enough to swat her hand away. I blinked at her blearily, rubbing my vision clear. She looked at me intently, sitting crosslegged beside me.

"When did you see Zelda's power?" she asked suddenly. I blinked slowly, trying to focus on her question, peering up at her through half-lidded eyes.

"W-- What?" I said. "Repeat that, please?"

"Zelda's power flash," she repeated slowly, an impatient but urgent tone creeping into her voice. "When did you see it?" I blinked, the memory resurfacing to my mind. It was odd that I wasn't constantly thinking about the image I had mistakenly caught, considering her body was as perfect as if it were carved from stone.

I shrugged, yawning. "I'm not sure, why do you ask?" I responded, pulling myself up. I rubbed my face, attempting to hide the nervous flush that began to creep across it.

"Why are you lying to me, Link?" she asked after a moment, this time softer and and more sad than before. The last thing I intended was to hurt Mipha. Guilt immediately rushed through my body when I saw her lips turn downwards sadly.

"I'm sorry," I said immediately. "It's just that it's... embarrassing." I finished my sentence, glancing away nervously.

"Link, do you know how I learned about my Healer's magic?" she asked suddenly. I raised my brows at the slight turn of topic, but shook my head. "I discovered I had powers several years ago when I was swimming with Sidon. I was completely relaxed and when I ended up stubbing my fins on the reefs, I accidentally healed the damage without realizing I had even hurt myself." She paused, pressing her lips tightly together as she decided how to phrase what she wanted to say next. "Magic resonates when you are completely relaxed. Sometimes, you don't even realize it has happened, like in my case."

The pieces fell in place. Mipha figured I had seen something that neither Zelda nor I had mentioned. She figured that the key to the power was found within relaxing and we had to exploit the key that had exposed her power in order to hopefully harness it. The whole reason for rushing Zelda to the Domain, after all, was to uncover how to wield unruly magic, like Mipha has.

"I think you saw something you weren't meant to see," Mipha said slowly, casting her eyes downwards. "But you have to tell me, so we can harness her power before Ganon arrives."

I nodded slowly, rubbing the tension out of my forehead. "Yes, alright," I conceded, glancing away nervously. "Please don't tell her but... I saw her taking a bath." Mipha's brow quirked as she opened her mouth to question my intentions, but I continued before she cut me off. "It was an accident. We were forced to share the bed and I woke up without Zelda next to me. I feared the worst, and went to search the bathroom in hopes that she wasn't kidnapped. I saw her and I was about to leave but she was... pulsing with a strange aura and I would've burst in if my sword hadn't kept me grounded."

Mipha tapped her lips thoughtfully. Finally she muttered, "When magic is in one's blood, making it harbored magic that isn't in use, it finds ways to release in odd ways. Zelda's bloodline stretches back thousands of years; her family has been blessed as long as they have reigned, meaning the majority of her magic is probably genetic, more than pure blessing."

"I thought she was a reincarnation?" I asked. "Zelda and I are both destined to be reincarnated should Ganon rise again."

"Yes," she agreed, "but I assume that the magic resurfaces every few generations when the prophesy is said to occur again." She dismissed her explanation with a dainty flip of her hand, staring at me urgently. "Whatever it is, I theorize that Zelda harbored magic is expressing itself in peculiar ways. Hence, the energy pulse. It'll only grow more unruly over time and, if I'm correct, it should be more easily tied to her emotions."

"How so?" I asked. "Isn't it already tethered to her emotions, as in when she's relaxed, she may release stifled magic?"

"Yes, but it should grow more tethered," she explained lamely. "Meaning, if she's irritable, her magic will be more prone to exploding out of her. Think of it like this. It's like a net. When she's under pressure, as, of now, the net is stretched, and the holes in the net grow slimmer, making it more difficult for magic to pass through. But when she's relaxed, the net is as well, allowing magic to pass more freely. But over time, the net wears down and bigger holes start appearing, meaning her magic can slip through at all times."

"I should take her to somebody who might be able to allow her to express her magic in some way," I claimed. "Someway that seems less dangerous."

Mipha nodded, tapping on her fins and pulling on the scales slightly, staring off as she thought.

"I know!" she exclaimed after a long minute as I stood and allows my body to stretch and my joins to relax.

"Where?"

"Go to Hateno Village."

Yes, the magic being released through emotions is, in fact, from Harry Potter, the first book when Harry learns he has powers.
