I wake up dazed with a slight headache and begin to try and shake myself awake to no avail. I'm still bound to this wooden chair, that stupid light is still gently as if almost a lullaby swinging above me. I look across the room eyes still blurred from just waking, but from what I can see and feel the scenery hasn't changed any. I can still feel the coarse rope binding and rubbing against my skin as I try to escape into the empty room.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I really thought as a police officer you would have more common sense then this." Booms a cold and calculating voice, dancing from somewhere in the edge of the darkness. Before I can even respond I'm kicked in the stomach by what feels like a freight train. This monstrous force sends the chair and I flying into the wall only to have the chairs legs crumble beneath me upon impact. Somehow the rope still manages to keep me tightly bound, I lay cold and vulnerable on the ground coughing up the familiar metallic taste of blood. I strain myself as much as possible to just see a glimpse of this voice but all I see is a show dancing along the edge of the light, like a flame in a midnight sky. I strain even more to see but everything seems to be working against me, I need to see his face, even if it is just a simple glance.
"You're only going to hurt yourself if you try to get out of those ropes, James." Hisses the cold calculating voice.
"How do you know my name?!" I choke out through a mouth full of blood. The cold calculating voice lets out a slightly enraged but yet almost non existent chuckle before I feel yet again another monstrous kick find my rib cage. I spit out a mouth full of blood but am instantly greeted with that all to familiar metallic taste of blood as my mouth starts to pool again.
"You will not speak until spoken to!" The mysterious voice hisses while letting out a rush of emotion. I feel a foot of some kind retract from my side but then quickly hear the click clack of what sounds like high heels several strides away only seconds later. Either this guy is fucking insane or some damned cross dresser and honesty I'm not sure which would be worse at this moment in time.
"Poor Jessaline is going to be alone with my father for the next.... 300 years of her life!" Sarcastically, but yet sincerely exclaims the cold voice. As I feel my heart start to race and my anger start to bubble the swinging light catches this bastards hair just right and the man's so perfectly groomed white hair starts to glow... perfectly groomed white hair... I would remember this anywhere.
"Michil?!" I exclaim as my body and mind start to flood with thought of Jynx, fear, hatred, love, and anger.

I suppose it's time to say enough is enough, right? Hell no!! We're only just getting started!!! Only one tiny problem. We have no idea where James has taken off to!!!! I haven't seen him since that night we went to dinner with Arlo and in all honesty I'm starting to get really worried. I haven't gotten a call or a text, but Arlo keeps claiming that he has. Why would James text him, but not me? It's a little sketchy and it's only worrying me even more. I'm starting to question whether or not I'm really doing what's best for the FOTD. Well, it's a little too late now. We're already on the plane back home. Arlo is in the seat directly in front of me. Fe is directly beside me and Cheshire is directly beside Arlo. It's kind of odd on how our seating arrangement came to be.
"Michil?" I question. Arlo nods his head with a very happy smile on his face that gives me a really bad feeling. You know, that feel you get when you think someone is following you or is going to hurt you at the drop of a hat? Yeah, that's the feeling I'm getting at the moment. "Your son. Is Michil Lesson? Why the hell do you have different last names then?" I question once more.
"His mother didn't want him to have my last name. I didn't even know he existed until he was about 17," Arlo answers. I just stare at the seat in front of me. That was only two years ago. "I still remember his first words to me."
