"You might want to watch your temper, girl!" He spits back at me. "I have the fucking incantation you need!" I push him away from me.

"You must be Ken then. Great. My guy is a fucking high school heart breaker who looks like he's been to jail about 3 times!"

"Well, it's actually been 26 times," he mutters. I glare at him.

"Alright. You're a fucking high school heart breaker who's been in jail 26 times!" He winks at me with a chuckle.

"Now you've got it, girly!" I place my dagger against his throat.

"Don't call me girly again." He glares.

"I thought I told you to watch that tone of yours!"

"Or what? You'll kill me?! There's nothing you can do that hasn't happened to me yet! You can stab me, use abilities, shot me. I've lost a child and almost lost my boyfriend. Nothing. and I do mean NOTHING can hurt me worse than that!" He doesn't stand down though.

"Maybe," He starts with a smirk. "I will rip your throat out and stuff into your stomach and leave all the morticians and all the detectives confused on how the hell it was done." Okay. Fucking with me is one thing, but throwing my own threat back at me is low.

"You lay a hand on me and you'll not just be fucked up from my boyfriend and cousin, but every person in this building. Have fun dealing with that when I die by your hands!" I state cockily. "Now, pass over the incantation or I won't hesitate to flip your ass and steal it from you." He hold up a book and holds it above my head.

"Go ahead, bitch! Try and get it with your little short arms!" I glare before stomping my foot and turning around with my arms crossed in front of my chest. I can sense his anger toward me. "Thought you wanted it?" He questions. I ignore him which causes him to fume more. "Hey, bitch!" He lays a hand on my shoulder. I grab his wrist and judo flip him over my shoulder onto his back and steal the book from his hand.

"What was that about my little short arms?" I question. "Thanks for the book, but you can leave now!" I hiss.

"Jynx," Doc starts. My gaze shoots to him. "Look, you're only mad cause he's using his abilities on you. Just don't hurt him... Please?" I stare at him before I back away.

"Wait. I thought you want to take me out?" He pokes. I step back even more.

"If Doc wants me to stop, I'll stop." This guy doesn't seem to happy with my answer. "No matter, I have the incantation and you have a hurt ego. Too bad for you!" I tease.

"Do you even know how to cast it?" I stand there for a second.

"Jack does."

"How did you know that?"

"You just told me!" He goes to retort back, but stops after realizing I'm right. "Before we discuss anything else, I would like to know how Doc knows you!" Doc sighs.

"Jynx. You're really pushing it today," Doc puts in. I throw my hands up in defense.

"It's not everyday that I get to learn about your past. I'm just taking it as it comes!"

"She's a freak and she's annoying," Jordan mutters. As I was about to pull my gun on him, Little Jordan runs up to us.

"Jynx, you need to see this!" She rushes her words out while panting slightly.

"What do I need to see?" I question lightly.

"Michil.... He's alive!"

I watch him pace back and forth. Back and forth. No intentions really. He's just pacing. His arms are crossed over his chest. His expression is thoughtful.
