I walk carefully toward Michil's base by myself. During head count I realized that after all this fight, we're down to 16,261. From the last time I check, we somehow lost 2,500,023,540 which is too much. Not to mention you subtract that 16,261 down by another 4,700 giving us only 11,561 men left on our side while Michil's side is only growing more and more. I sigh softly and rehearse the words in my head.
This doesn't have to end this way. We can figure something out, but this fight has gone on too long. Give me my daughter and the books. Then we can discuss where you'll be going. As much as I love my wording I know he's going to try and kill me half way through it. Sadly, I don't have time to revise it. Michil stands waiting for me to show up. He seems to be reading some sort of book and as I get closer I realize it's one of the ones that Melody published years ago. Then she got ticked at her editor and dropped the career all together.
"Took you long enough," Michil mutters in an annoyed tone. "I've been waiting for two hours!"
"That was your fault. I told you 8 and it's only just now turning 8. Not my fault you showed up 2 hours early!" I hiss at him. Michil glares, but closes his book and turns to me.
"What is this about? You upset that a bunch of you men came to my side?" He mocks. I keep my composure and straighten my back.
"Actually it is. Did they tell you why they left?" I question. Michil stands there for a moment. "I told them that if they weren't out by midnight that I would kill them. They were all your spies and I know it, Michil. I'm not worried though. You may have my daughter, but that doesn't mean I won't wipe the floor with your ass when I'm finished with this damned war. In the end, I'll my have my daughter back and those books will be sent back to their existing realms." Michil laughs.
"Did your little medic not tell you what happens when Sammy is away from the books for too long?"
"Why do you think we stole them? We were trying to keep her alive!"
"Then you sent her away with Anna. I'm aware. My darling told me the story."
"Darling?"
"Did she not tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"That me and her are together!"
"But she's with Dennis!"
"That's what you all thought!! She was only playing him, but I did notice that he followed her to my side. So. Sweet. Too bad she doesn't care for him!"
"You're sick!"
"Sick is not the correct word, Jessaline and you know it!"
"Stop calling me Jessaline!"
"Or what? You'll kill me? Aren't you already going to do that?" I glare at Michil.
"Let's put it this way. It'll be a more painful death than what I had originally planned."
"I'm so scared~!" I'm getting so tired of his fucking mocking that I might just kill him now. He's got a glint in his eyes that makes me worry. I'm not entirely sure why he's looking at me like that anyway.
"What is that look for?"
"Oh! Nothing! Was just thinking about how the boy, Dennis, was screaming bloody murder last night."
"What did you do to him?!"
"Still care I see."
"Of course, I care! They're all my family! Whether they are on my side or not, they are family and I will care for them no matter what!"
