Rosalie woke up shortly after they got back to the institute.

She got up, needing to get a drink.

On her way, she saw something that reminded her of Dot, which immediately brought back to her what happened.

The recent mood change, made her change directions and she went back to her room.

She sat on her balcony, looking out at the city, playing back memories of her and Dot.

The door was open, and she wasn't paying any attention to the person at her door.

"Hey." She heard Jace say as he stepped into the room.

"Hey..." she said in a quiet voice, as she continued to do what she was doing.

"How you doing?"

"I don't know... Dot. She's... " She started.

"I get it." He said, sitting down beside her.

She shook her head slightly.

"No. You don't. Jocelyn never treated me like her own. She didn't care. Clary was the perfect one that could do no wrong. And i? I was the one who got blamed for everything. Jocelyn made me train, and learn more about being a shadowhunter. I never got to have a normal childhood. Dot saw that. She noticed how I was left out, and instead of letting it go, she created a bond between us. She gave me the chance to have a normal childhood, but to also do what Jocelyn wanted. She was more of a big sister to me than she was to Clary. I could count on her for anything....  And now..."

She turned to look at him, not realizing that she had tears running down her face, before looking at her hands.

"I get it. It'll be tough, but you'll get through it. I know you will. And we may not have known each other very long, but... I'm here for you." He said putting a hand on her shoulder.

She nodded giving him a small smile.

"Thanks. "

"And he spoke to you? " Jace asked Clary holding up her necklace.

Rosalie and Jace were in Clary's room, after Clary barged into Roses room.

She explained how Valentine talked to her through her necklace.

"He said my name. He said "your mother for the Cup."

Rose sighed as she noticed that Alec came into the room.

"Who said that? "

"Valentine." Both Jace and Clary said.

"He's with my mother. "

"And he can speak to you through that necklace? Here in the institute?" He asked corning over to the three.

"It's like when I saw Dot. " Clary said.

"It's a portal shard." Rose said as she touched the necklace.

"That's why your mother made sure you had it." Jace continued.

"All I know is what I saw.... My mother's alive. She's unconscious, but alive. " Clary said, turning to Alec.

"Where are they?" Alec asked.

"I don't know."

"But you said you saw them. We're there any identifying characteristics? Equipment, weapons, photographs? "

"I don't remember. It was awful. "

"Alec, lighten up." Rose said.

"I'm trying to get something we can use out of this. Clary, what did you see, exactly? "
