That whole night, Rosalie knew something was off. And knowing the call she got from Simon earlier, about Jace, just made her distance herself.

Clary ended up telling Luke about what the sword could do, as they walked into the Jade Wolf.

"How could you not tell me that!?" Luke sort of yelled as he slammed the doors open.

"The Downworld would be in total chaos if they knew what the sword could do." Clary said.

"There could be uprisings everywhere." Jace said.

"So you're saving the Downworlers from themselves? We never asked." Luke said.

"We didn't even know that Valentine could activate the Sword until we realized he had an angel. Luke, I didn't want you to worry." Clary told him.

Rosalie sat one of the tables nearby and just listened.

"Well, it's too late for that."

"Look, you dont understand, all right..." Jace started, and as soon as he said that Rosalie knew he shouldn't have.

"No. I do understand.  He has my sister."

At that the three shared a look.

"What else aren't you guys telling me?"

Rosalie nodded as Clary shared a look with her.

"The angel, he... He showed us something." Clary started.

"Just now on the rooftop, he showed us both a vision of a demon that can destroy the Sword." Jace said.

"How do you know that's what he was telling you?"

"Theres no other explanation. When the demon touched the Sword, he and the Sword both disintegrated." Clary told him.

"Luke, it was a demon I'd never seen before." Jace said walking closer to Luke.

"Then go find it. I'll head out and see if that bastard left any clues for us to track him down."

Luke then left.

Rosalie just sat on the table, away from the other two.

Rosalie went with Jace back to Magnus' and was silent the whole time.

"What's wrong?" He asked as they stopped outside Magnus' place.

"Would you like to explain why Simon told me he saw you at the bar with Kaleigh and 2 other girls?" Rosalie asked him, turning to look at him.

"Its not what it sounds like."  He tried to say.

"The girls came up to me. I was just sitting there"

"Oh really? Then how do you know Kaleigh? And don't make up an excuse either. "

he sighed. "Okay, I slipped up. But it was only one time. It will never happen again I swear!" 

At that, her heart sank slightly.

Rosalie shook her head, keeping herself together.  "I can't believe you." 

And with that she started to walk away, more upset than mad.

"Where are you going?" Jace called after her.

She ignored him, as she had tears in her eyes as she walked around the corner.

Making it to the institute, she composed herself and opened the door.

Alec noticed her first.

"How-... What's wrong?" He asked, as he must have noticed the tear stains on her face.
