She was directed to a large couch. After a few moments, the three men who introduced themselves at the hospital exited the room, onto the porch. The door slammed shut behind him. Alex was sitting on the couch with her head against her knees. Suddenly she felt the couch sink in beside her. An arm quickly wrapped around her waist.

"Give me a chance to explain. Alex, I swear, this is what's best for you."

"You don't even know me how do yo-."

"You're Alex. You're seventeen. You go to the same exact high school as me. You're dating Michael. You're studying to be a psychologist. And you're absolutely beautiful."

She laughed at the last sentence.

"And exactly how do you know all of this? And why are you so invested in it? Why does it matter to you?"

"Well, your father and me aren't exactly friendly with each other at the moment, being I heard some things by his men that I highly disapprove of."

"Which are?"

"Do you know exactly what your father does for a living?"

"No."

"Would you like to know?"

"Why do you care, you've already kidnapped me."

" Your father runs a gang, a bad one. Not to say I'm much better considering I do too, but he was looking at selling you. There's a department not far from your house, you know that big factory Sam would drop by once a week, yeah they sell girls. He wanted to sell you for money to make his gang have a better reputation in that community."

"No. That's not true, I'd know if he was in a gang. And he'd never sell me."

"Really? You know those men that would come by when he was gone, and take you to the babysitter, or better yet, the other day that car that was following you? You're oblivious to it because you want to trust him. But you can't Alex. You can't trust Sam, he will sell you to a greasy old man in no time. Understand this. I'm protecting you from him. "

"No."

"Alex."

" Why should I believe a word that comes out of your mouth. I just meet you maybe an hour ago, you've told me all these crazy stories about my family. You've forced me to move in with you. You have zero credibility." Alex practically screamed at him, standing and moving to the opposite wall.

"Should I prove things to you?"

"Yes, I don't believe a word that comes out of your mouth."

Phil shoved Alex against the wall and whispers against her neck.

" What do I get in return?"

Alex shoved him off of her. Phil grabbed her wrist, and dragged her through the front door. The three men outside were smoking. Phil opened the passenger door and let Alex slid in. Phil quickly went around the car, sat, and started the vehicle. Quickly exiting the drive way.
