the house was just like any ordinary home. it had pictures decorating the walls and furniture that made it feel cozy. however, those are what you see. when you get to know what happens behind closed doors is when you truly feel whether if it's what it seems.
taeyong clutched onto doyoung's jacket as they made their way up the stairs. doyoung held a determined gaze but he felt like his heart would pop anytime soon, taeyong holding onto him didn't help either.
"what's the plan now? we grab him and go?" doyoung spoke into the mic attached to his jacket. "just find taeil and see if he is alright, make sure taejoon doesn't hear you," sicheng informed softly.
looking for taeil's room wasn't hard, because the door has a large letter 'T' on the door. doyoung was about to turn the knob but taeyong was quick to stop him. doyoung started at taeyong in confusion, "this was too easy," he gulped "i'm no expert in this but in movies opening that door would be the worst choice. how about we knock first?"
nodding at taeyong's explanation, doyoung brought his fist up to the door and knocked. they waited a few seconds before the door was cracked open so you could see only see how dark it was in the room.
doyoung nor taeyong could see anything due to the lighting and were scared to see the door slam open and a hand tug them inside. taeyong was about to start screeching when a hand covered his mouth.
"shhh! guys it's me." doyoung eyes slowly adjusted to the light and made out the small figure that was taeil. with a tear streaming down his face, he brought the shorter into a bone crushing hug. "gosh il, i was so worried."
taeil smiled into the hug and sighed. "i missed you loads. how did you guys find me?" taeyong was curled up in a ball on the floor, still in shock, so doyoung spoke up. "i honestly can't explain it in this short amount of time. we have to get you out of here first."
taeil looked around his room sadly. "i haven't left my room in the time my dad took me away. he has been monitoring me 24/7." taeyong then stood up and looked around and quickly pointed towards the window. "we can escape through there!" taeil quickly shook his head and pointed to the lock securing it shut. "already tried."
doyoung thought for a moment and then grabbed the hem of his jacket to speak into the mic, "guys how the hell are we gonna get out of here?" taeil looked at him questionably and then towards taeyong, who proceeded to tell him about their backup.
"you could always say that you are going out to get lunch with him, but in all honestly i don't think that would work. this all seems too easy. just go downstairs and talk in the kitchen about the idea of getting food, then see how taejoon reacts. if anything happens we will go in there and stop everything. and if we don't get there in time, you have a gun, there is no science in using it." doyoung gulped and thanked yuta.
"let's go to the kitchen, and follow me lead, ok?" the others nodded and let taeil lead the way. while making their way to the kitchen, taejoon spotted them and gave them a sinister looking (it was pretty normal but they were all on edge) smile.
"so you guys wanna go get some food? i heard they opened up this new ramen place in the city." doyoung smiled and motioned for them to continue the small gig they have going on. "ah yeah i heard of it! i'm down, taeil what about you?" taeyong smiled at taeil while wigging his eyebrows a little.
taeil glanced over at his father seeing that he was listening in to their conversation. "sure, i could use the fresh air and ramen. let me grab my shoes yeah?" taeil scrambled up to his room while the others stayed in the kitchen waiting patiently for taeil to return.
"so you going out for ramen?" taejoon said while walking into the kitchen and standing next to taeyong but in front of doyoung. taeyong jumped a little but nodded his head quickly, "y-yeah it would be n-nice to get some r-ramen right now." taejoon inspected taeyong and laughed. "you guys think i'm stupid or something?"
doyoung smiled widely and gave him a questioning look, "what do you mean mr. moon? we just want to get ramen with our friend." taejoon laughed and poked doyoung's chest with force. "kim doyoung. ceo of kim inc. one of the richest man in south korea, at my house trying to play off as my son's school mate? not such a smart move."
taeyong was about to speak up but taejoon quickly stopped him. "lee taeyong. mr. kim's assistant. like attention and his own boss. that's pretty weird, don't you think? to have a crush on your boss?" taeyong looked terrified. he looked towards doyoung and quickly shook his head, "he is lying and you have to believe me! i love jaehyun!"
"jaehyun? jung jaehyun? oh now i know you mean trouble." taeyong's eyes almost popped out his head when he saw taejoon reach for a cupboard behind him and quickly pull out a gun. "get out of my house and i won't do harm. away from my son and don't ever come back!"
doyoung pulled out the gun attached to his belt and pointed it to taejoon. "you can't let taeil live this life! he has dreams and all you do it put them to a side! let him do as he pleases!" taeyong slowly sunk to the floor in tears and tried to crawl away from the scene, which caused taejoon to grab him and point the gun to his head.
"get out and forget about my son or i'll kill your boyfriend!" taeyong was crying loudly and kicking the air around to try to escape but his grip only became tighter. doyoung was hoping for the other to burst through the door any second now.
he was thinking or what to say when he heard small foot steps make their way down the stairs. "dodo, yong, i'm ready for that ramen! are you guys-" taeil's face darkened at the sight. "dad what are you doing to my friends?" taejoon motioned for doyoung to move next to taeil, to which he did, not dropping his gun at any second.
taejoon, who now moved his gun to point towards taeil, smiled sinisterly. "don't play stupid il. i know what goes on with you and mr ceo over here. it's honestly disgusting how you chose this man over any women i introduced you to. i'll give you some points for making a ceo fall for your worthless self tho."
taeil's eyes were full of tears, not only because his father's terrible words, but because he brought doyoung and the others into this mess. "dad, dad please let them go. this is all my fault, i should have listened to you and mom, just please let my friends go."
doyoung was about to tell taeil off, but was cut off by the front door slamming open and a gun go off.
then everything went black.
