There was a vivid cloud surrounding the already dark room. It was the exact same one he fell asleep seconds ago. That black drawing of a deer on the wall behind him and his pillow of London flag abandoned somewhere in the room. He was being quieter than usual, as if he was afraid to let out a small breath. Something was wrong because the usual empty bed seemed to be filled up with unwanted warmth. The safety of his room was still there but there was something so off about it. It was not unpleasant, no it was beautiful, it made something in his stomach tighten, making him observe his own moves.
His adams apple moved up and down his throad as he gulped lightly. Midams eyes shifted to left. There was Gi laying in his bed, looking peaceful as ever. The light was hitting on her face so perfectly, he could see the smallest. Her lips were lightly apart, her messed up hair everywhere on the pillow, the tip of her nose lightly shinning from the street lights outside and her beautiful eyes were closed so peacefully that it made him want to stare at her forever. He didn't touch her, he just savored the moment, clearly remembering her perfect silhouette under the light sheets.
After couple of minutes Midam moved, his hand slowly reaching to her hair. His hand was lighyly shaking as he didn't let out a single breath.
He felt himself turn into a little boy all over again. How he wanted this for so long.
His finger lightly traced shapes over her shoulder after he moved strands of hair from it. Her breathing was so light and heavenly, making him slowly calm down.
Finally those long raven wings spread widely and Gis brown eyes were the only thing that scared Midam. He didn't know how to explain himself or what to say at all. Why was she here? Why was he suddenly so scared of her?
'Hey, stop moving, it's hard to sleep'
A small smile creeped up on her face as she said that. Midam felt like crying, he wanted to tell her all of his worries like he used to. She was finally there so he could tell her how many mistakes he has made in his life and how he wished he just erased them all forever.
He moved down, placing his head on his own pillow so he was facing her. He moved closer to her and she closed her eyes, trying to restrain her heart from beating too much because she knew Midam could make her physically hurt because of that.
He closed the small distance between them hiding his head in the crook of his neck. Then he took her hand, intertwining their fingers together.
Midams mind couldn't help but remember the night in the festival and the the same grip. The sudden closeness and skinship was enough to make both of them drift in their own worlds, she loved how comfortable and purely happy he looked. It urged her to touch him.
She distanced herself, just enough so she could see his eyes shine brightly like they always did. Gi always commented about his eyes because as cheesy as it sounds she could see the whole universe in them.
Her hand moved to his cheek, slowly she brushed her thumb over his skin, watching him as he slowly found peace again. He finally looked like he had forgotten about everything. He felt like he could let his guard down for once and he did. He closed his eyes and just enjoyed the feeling of her fingers placed on his jaw in the small, now beautiful, room.
The darkness didn't scare him anymore because he didn't find himself getting lost in every question and thought he had in his mind. He just didn't think at all. His mind was completely blank, just like it used to before coming to Seoul.
This time the darkness lasted longer than usual. When he opened his eyes he was met with the same ceiling but now you could clearly see the white color with little beige in it.
