Your POV

It had been six months since Rick froze time. He would often look at me and I noticed but never said anything as I was working. I had gone around the house, fixing the holes in the drywall, fixing the cracks, putting fresh sod in the yard to hide the fact the house was transported, fixing the cracked sidewalk, and whatever else was destroyed. Standing up I sighed as I looked at the house. Everything was exactly as it was before the party.

Looking over to the frozed Beth and Jerry I saw Morty come out and vaccume his parents. I walked over and went inside as Summer stopped me. "Rick wants to see you" she said. Rolling my eyes I went to the garage and opened the door. I leaned on the dryer as I crossed my arms.

"What?"

"Thank you"

"What for?"

"Talking some sense into me and fixing the house"

"Oh you mean cleaning your mess? That's what I'm apparently here for, Rick"

He looked down as he sighed. "Stop yelling at me already, I don't like it."

"No one likes getting yelled at, idiot"

He stood and tried to pull me into his arms. I put my hand out in front of him to stop him. "Unfreeze time, I'll go see my aunt and maybe then I won't be mad at you for the party still." I said. He let his hands fall to his sides as he nodded. We to the front yard and stood in front of the house. Rick unfroze time as Jerry and Beth opened the front door.

"What?" they said as they looked around.

"I could have sworn the house was completely trashed when we pulled up"

Jerry said as he stepped outside to look. Coming back inside they looked at us and sighed. "What happened?"

"Nothing, just family bonding time" Rick said as he pulled Summer and Morty closer to him. Beth smiled as she tried to hug her children. They crossed their arms so she couldn't. Rick pulled out a wad of cash as he put it on the floor and kicked it over to Jerry.

"Go get some ice cream" he said and they nodded before they left.

Looking at the three I hugged Summer and Morty before I got my portal gun out and opened a portal to my house. Rick looked at the portal before he looked down and put his hands in his pockets.

"How long are you going to be gone?"

I looked at Morty. "It's only my annual visit to see my aunt. I'll be back in about a week or so"

They nodded as Summer smiled. "Text me about everything you do" she said before she hugged me again. I nodded and ruffled Morty's hair before I looked at Rick and stepped through the portal. Getting home I sat on my bed as my dad walked into the room. "There you are" he said and I rose a brow.

"Get ready to leave, your mother wants to get going early."

I nodded as he left before I started to pack my things. Remembering what Rick said about not touching anyone I sighed. Thinking about how I could avoid people touching me for the week I was gone I thought of an idea. I could play sick. Grabbing my make up I decided to use it to make my eyes appear red. I could fake a pretty good cough when I needed to so this week shouldn't be too bad.

Getting into the car we drove off by the Smith's they waved as we went by. I stopped when I saw Rick in the garage. "Did you finally tell that scientist what for? Good, your life will be so much better without him in it." my dad said as I hummed and rolled the window back up. Pulling out my phone I put my headphones in and started some music. I got a text fromSummer not long after. I answerd quickly and went back to my music as I sat in the back seat.

~Three Days Later~

I was laying on my bed. Staring at the ceiling everything was going smoothly. Everyone thinks I'm sick so I haven't been touched. Looking around the room I thought of something to do. Before I could sit up I heard my phone go off.

( You ~, Summer * )

*(y/n), can you get home early? There's something up with Rick

~What do you mean 'there's something up with Rick'? I'm sure he's fine.

*No, somethings not right. He hasn't been eating since you left and I don't think he's sleeping much either. He zones out a lot too, almost there's something bothering him.

~Fine I'll be over there in a second

Standing I grabbed my portal gun after I texted my mom that I was going to be sleeping early. I told the family that I had lost my voice the day after I got there so, I could sit in my room and avoid family. Walking through the portal I crossed my arms as Summer ran up to me. "You got my messages" she said as I nodded.

"I was in a different state, not a different dimension" i said and she nodded. She pulled me up to her room where she briefed me. "Rick's in the garage, he hasn't left it since you went to your annual family thing. I think he's depressed."

I hummed a little as I nodded. "I'll go see what his deal is." I said as she smiled and followed me down the stairs. Going to the kitchen I made some food before I went into the garage. Putting the food on the table I cleared my throat. Rick turned around quickly as he looked up at me. He was going to say something before I cut him off.

"What this I've been hearing about you starving youself? I swear to the nonexisting god that if you don't eat what I brought in here I will force feed it to you." I said. He looked at me before he nodded gently. Getting the food he started to eat. "Tell me why you did it"

He looked up from his food. "I feel like shit"  he said. Raising a brow at him I crossed my arms. "And? Don't you usually?" he sighed as he stood up and pulled me to him as he hugged me. Tightening his grip on me I heard him choke out some words. "I hate knowing you're mad at me. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have thrown that party" sighing deeply I looked up at him.

Being gone and away from family has given me time to think. I shouldn't be mad at him, not for this long. I nodded as I pulled him into a hug. He relaxed as I did. "I shouldn't have yelled." he looked at me as he pulled away. "Does that mean you're not mad at me anymore?" he asked. I nodded a little as he smiled gently. He let me go and walked over to his table as he continued to eat. After he was done I walked over to him and kissed his forehead. "I don't want to hear another word of you starving youself, I'll come down here and kick your ass" I said. He gave a chuckle and nodded as he grabbed my hand.

I looked at him as he stood before he hugged me again. "How did making me mad make you feel?" he asked as I sighed. Playing the same card on me. "I was pissed off, but mostly dissapointed. Rick you can be better than what everyone else says you are. You can stop the partying and getting high all the time. You can stop drinking so much too. Let people in. The best kind of high you can get in life is by getting more relationships. But remember that quality is better than quanitiy" I said.

He tilted his head as he looked at me. "Really?" he asked. I nodded gently."Let's say you have $150 dollars worth of money in your wallet that's entirely made up of 20 dollar bills. Let's say that they're your friends. You may have a lot but since they're only a 20 dollar bill each, the single bill won't get you very far in life. But if you have three 50s instead, it would be different. You still have the entire 150 in your wallet but each of the 50 dollar bills would get you farther than just the twenties. Measuring a rich man by the amount of money has isn't the same as measuring a man that's rich in friendships."

He nodded as he understood what I was saying. "Instead of having a bunch of 20 dollar friends have a couple of 50 dollar ones. That way I'm a happier person?" I chuckled as I nodded at him. "Quality is better than quantity. Those three 50s you have will be able to help you out more than a single 20." he nodded as he squeezed my hand.

"If we're talking about you, then you're a 100 dollar bill." he said.

I looked up at him and rose a brow. "How's that?"

"Even though I had the party and lied to you a couple of times already, you haven't left me yet. Making you my best friend. If I had a choice between all the twenties in the world, I would just choose one 100 dollar bill. You."
