I was assigned to be TWICE's bodyguard. Especially Dahyun's. Ever since debut I've been their guard. I live with them. They're on my sight 24/7 unless they're on vacation. I made a promise that I will protect her at all cost. Even if it means dying for her to be safe.
With that, me and the girls became close. Especially the Eagle Dahyun. I always stand behind her every fansigning event. I always carry her stuffs or luggages everytime they travel. Technically, I became a guard slash personal assistant of Miss Kim Dahyun. I don't mind it. Atleast I can stay close to her.
In those 3 years of being her guard/manager, it's quite impossible for me not to develop something for her. Especially with the fact that she's too kind, caring, beautiful, funny, you name it. She always make sure I'm fine. Sometimes it makes me think which of us is the idol and the guard.
Dahyun however, seems to like someone else. iKon's leader, Kim Hanbin (a/n: I MISS YOU B.I!!! 😭😭😭💔💔💔). And by the looks of it, Hanbin seemed to like her too. How do I know? Hanbin and I are siblings. (Surprise! 😂😂✌️🏻) And Dahyun tends to ask me time to time about Hanbin. Which sometimes annoys me. Of course I had to pretend that I don't mind when deep inside, it was killing me.
Today is no different when it comes to my brother but the way I responded is WAAAAAY different from I usually answer her.
"Hey, Y/N/N~ do you know what did Hanbin sunbae do today?"
I shrugged.
"Did you inform him about our fansigning?"
I nodded.
"Did you—"
"If you're really that curious about my brother, ask him yourself!! I'm not a freaking Dahyun!!" I raised my voice at her, causing her to flinch and her members looking at our direction.
I groaned in frustration and walked out their dorm and stayed outside for a while. Trying to calm down. I can hear her members talking to her and soon heard a loud bang of the door from one of the rooms upstairs.
I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
"You really blew off this time, huh?" I turned and see it was Chaeyoung.
"It's too frustrating Chae. I don't even know why am I reacting like this. Yes, I like her but it's just like. Like as in crush. That's all."
"But you get frustrated and pissed everytime she mentions B.I sunbaenim. So weird." Chae let out a chuckle as she sits down beside me.
I could only sigh at her comment.
"Maybe you're being like that cause you don't really like her. But instead you love her." I looked at Chae with an eyebrow arched up.
"Me? Love her? Psh! Kid, please. I'm not in love with her. I am definitely not... Right?" I looked at Chaeyoung who is grinning ear to ear. "Damn Son Chaeyoung, wipe that creepy grin off your face!"
"That's for you to answer. Anyways, the fansigning is in 5 days time. B.I sunbae will surely be there so if I were you, confess before it's too late." And Chaeng left me and went inside.
AISH!!! That girl is driving me nuts.
*Day of the fansigning*
We arrived at the venue of the fansigning and I'm currently helping the staffs organize the stage while the girls are in the waiting room to change or do some last retouches. I got a call from my brother saying he just arrived. I only responded with a hum.
Dahyun and I haven't talked even once after that incident. We avoided each other. Every time she sees me carrying her stuffs or what, she would take it from me and let manager unnie carry it for her which actually hurts me more than hearing her talk about B.I the whole day. My fault for blowing her off. *sigh*
The crowd started cheering as soon as B.I walked in with no disguise or whatsoever. He even allowed other ONCEs to take photos with him and sat in front. I don't hate B.I, okay? I love my brother so much whether you believe it or not. It's just that, this scaredy cat brother of mine can be a bit of a show off sometimes and one of those times is now.
Show off. He looked over to my direction and blew me a kiss which made me cringe.
"YAH KIM HANBIN QUIT BEING A SASSY CAT!" I yelled, making the people laugh. Even Hanbin laughed too.
"Sorry my cute and adorkable sister! But anyways, I know you love me." He laughed again.
I shot him a glare and ran towards him and put him on a headlock. The fans are just actually laughing at us.
"You twerp!! If you just came here to tease me, go back to your group or write some songs!!" I rubbed my free hand on his hair.
"Ow! Ow! Alright, alright! I give up!!" He dramatically raised his hands up. Making me smirk and release him from the lock.
"Good. Now sit like a good kitty that you are." I grinned as Hanbin followed my order right away. Causing me and the fans to laugh. Some are even saying we're so sweet. Even with us being rivals when it comes to Dahyun, our bond as siblings is much more stronger than our rivalry. I haven't even confirmed yet if he likes Dahyun.
"Oh by the way, Binnie..." I sat beside him and called his attention quietly.
"Hmm?"
"Do you uhm... by any chance like Dahyun?" My question made Hanbin turn to me with a 😐 look on his face.
"What makes you ask that?"
"Nothing. Just curious."
"Yes, I do." Binnie answered. Making my heart sink with the confession.
"O-oh... t-that's good then. Y-You two would make a g-great couple." I let out a small smile, trying to hold back the tears.
There was a bit of silence among us and suddenly Hanbin locked me in his arm while laughing.
"Ow!! The hell are you doing, you sassy cat!? Lemme go!" I removed his lock on me and hit his arm.
"Look, Y/N. I know you like her so much. To be honest, I think you're in love with her. I can see how you look at her, sissy. And when I said I like her, I meant I like her just as an idol. I'm a Dahyun stan you idiot so stop looking so defeated and smile. Dahyun is all yours. If you two ended up being together, I know Dahyun is in good hands." He smiled and pat my head.
I smiled back and hugged Hanbin. This sassy cat brother of mine can be reliable at times too. That's why he is one of he best leaders.
"Y/N! Go call the girls now. The event is about to start!" One of the venue staffs called my attention, making me pull away from Hanbin and excuse myself and head backstage.
"Arraseo." I started to make my way to their waiting room.
