The Perfect Girl (Gumball and Bubblegum fanfiction)

Chapter 3

Marshal and Gumball kept sneaking through the portal for months, things getting more serious with the girls.

"I can't wait to see Bubblegum today, I think today is the day I finally ask her." Gumball said with a huge smile on his face. Marshal stopped dead in his tracks and grabbed Gumball by the shoulders.

"I don't think you can do that man." He said very seriously.

"What why not?" The smile completely vanished from his face.

"I mean, we live in two different worlds, if she leaves and stays here with you they'll no longer have anyone to rule them, they'll fall apart. We can't change anything in that dimension or that whole world will seize to exist." Marshal explained.

"What no." He jokingly pushed Marshal away." But what about you and Marceline don't you want something more with her?"

"Of course I do, but we both know it would never work with us being in two different worlds, we haven't complicated anything, or gotten super close for that reason we're just friends sadly." Marshal dropped his head.

"But I-" Gumball's eyes filled with tears," love her."

"I love Marceline, but you said it yourself, their just 'dream girls' they aren't real." Marshal grabbed Gumball's shoulder comforting him. Gumball wiped his tears and looked at Marshal," c'mon let's go see our dream girls." Marshal grinned leading the way to the portal.

When they got inside the mirror was stone, it was closed. Gumball ran to where the mirror once was and started slamming his hands into it. "No what happened?!" Gumball started panicking.

"It's closed." Marshal said grabbing his shoulder making him calm down.

"And for good reason too!" A shrill voice said behind them, they both spun around to see the Ice Queen behind them.

"Why did you close the portal?" Gumball cried.

"Because it's mine, and I don't like sharing anything of mine with anyone." Ice Queen shrieked.

"Open up that portal or so help me I will hurt you!" Gumball started stomping toward her.

"Oh really." She shot some ice at Gumball but Marshall pulled him out of the way just in time. "Hmm, how about if I open the portal for you again, you have to marry me." She evilly grinned.

"Ok." Marshal stepped forward sacrificing himself.

"Not you!" She shoved him away," I want him to marry me."

"Fine." Gumball lifted his head high.

"Ohh, goody," she blasted the stone wall with ice and the mirror appeared," I'll go start planning the wedding!" She said all giddy and she flew away.

"Come on hurry," Gumball grabbed Marshal's shirt and pulled him into the portal," I have to talk to The Princess." They ran all the way to Candy Kingdom even though Marshal could've just flown them there.

They burst through Bubblegum's door, startling her," Princess, Princess I have to talk to you." He ran over to her, falling on his knees.

"What is it Gumball?" She said looking at him concerned.

"I wish to stay here, with you, my princess, forever." He said out of breath.

"What, no you can't Gumball." She said sadly.

"Why?" He got up from his knees.

"Because Gumball your people need you, you can't just abandon them." She explained.

"No you see I can, Ice Queen found out we were using her portal and wouldn't let us use it again unless I married her, see, if I marry her then she is the ruler of the Candy Kingdom." He smiled.

"Gumball, she's evil, that won't work." She said sadly.

"Princess, but I, love you." He dropped his head.

"And I love you my Prince, but we just can't be together." She said.

"Maybe we can!" He said excitedly," we could clone me, with our two brilliant minds put together we could make a clone of me!"

"It could take a while, how much time do we have?" Bubblegum asked.

"Probably until sun down." He said.

"Then let's start working, Marshal, you and Marceline keep an eye out for Ice Queen." Marshal nodded at the Princess's demands and went to go get Marceline.

Gumball and Bubblegum quickly got to work mixing chemical after chemical, doing test after test, all failures." What are we doing wrong?" Bubblegum dropped her head on her desk in defeat.

"I don't know my Love." He said kneeling next to her and putting his head on her shoulder." Love."

"Love." She lifted her head.

"Love!" They said to each other.

"Ok let's do this!" Gumball smiled and a few hours later they were looking at an exact clone of Gumball." Here put these on." He gave the clone his clothes.

"Oh why thank you but what are you going to wear?" The clone said.

"Don't worry about it." Gumball said cheerfully." So you know what to do when you get back to YOUR Kingdom?"

"Yes, thank you for explaining everything to me." He said gratefully.

"No problem," he stood up," this is goodbye I guess."

"Goodbye." The clone shook his hand and marched off.

"I see Ice Queen!" Marshal yelled." Gumball hide." Marshal grabbed the clone and left him outside the Kingdom.

"Oh there you are my Prince." Ice Queen said seductively.

"Yes I'm right here, let's go get married, I guess." He said glumly.

"Oh goody." She picked him up and flew back to the portal.

"Glad that's over." Gumball said walking over to Marshal, Marceline, and Bubblegum, in his underwear.

"Me too." Bubblegum sighed.

"Well now that, that problem is out of the way, Bubblegum," the Prince got down on one knee grabbing Bubblegum's hand, "will you Marry me?" He pulled out a box with the most gorgeous diamond ring resting in it.

"Oh Gumball, I" she stopped for a second," yes! Yes I will marry you!" She cheered wrapping her arms around Gumball and planted a big kiss on him. They pulled apart and Gumball placed the ring on her that fit absolutely perfect.

"I love you, my Princess." He smiled hugging her again.

"And I love you my Prince." She said full of joy.

Ok so I know this part was a little rushed and not as descriptive, but the next chapter I will try and put in more detail and every chapter after that, but I think this whole story will just kind of be a fanfiction short. I'm also not really liking how this is turning out.
