Everything was ready. The plan was not a hundred percent sure, but Changbin had no choice but to try. He wondered for a long time whether he should tell others, but he decided to leave it to himself. They thought he had gone mad already, so why try?
Changbin walked into the kitchen. No one was there since it was pretty late already. Everyone had gone to bed.
Changbin picked up the hourglass, holding it in his hands. He sucked air in deeply, letting out a shuddering breath. That was it. This was his chance to save Felix.
He looked at the kitchen clock, thinking about the night. He shook the hourglass, closing his eyes.
"Please work, please..." He whispered, opening his eyes.
The hourglass was doing its work. The sand in it was going backwards and it had stopped glowing. Changbin looked at the clock again and it was going way back, very quickly. If Changbin counted right, it went two days back.
He quickly hid against a wall, when he saw himself talking to Felix, who was leaving.
"Lixie..." Changbin gasped, not believing his eyes.
Changbin wanted to run to the boy and hold him in his arms. He stared at the scene, teary-eyed. Suddenly he realized, that he had to act.
"Shit!" He cursed while walking up to them.
Changbin had noticed earlier when he tried out the hourglass, that he could move objects, but he couldn't touch people. It meant, that he would have to hold Felix back, by moving objects around.
He ran into Felix's room, slamming the door loudly. It made everyone shocked and soon Chan, Jisung, Woojin, and Felix were staring into Felix's room.
"What was that?" Jisung asked.
Felix shrugged. "Maybe the door was left open..." He hummed and closed it.
Changbin frowned and followed them out of the room. This wasn't going to work.
"Binnie-hyung..." Felix's sweet, but deep voice said.
Changbin stared at himself blushing in front of the younger.
"You are my favorite hyung."
Those words... they were the last words Felix said to him. Changbin felt a sting in his chest as he saw Felix opening the door.
He quickly ran over to him, trying to take his phone out of his hand. Changbin's hand hit the phone, making it fly to the floor. Felix sighed and picked it up, frowning.
"I am so clumsy..." He laughed. "Bye now."
The door closed. Changbin grabbed the handle but remembered that he couldn't just open it in front of everyone. They would go nuts if he did.
"What to do... what to do?????" He panicked.
Then he remembered that he had left his window open, so he ran to his room, climbing out the window. Of course, it was pretty dangerous. Their dorm was on the second floor, but Changbin was ready to get hurt if it meant he could save Felix.
Changbin grabbed the balcony railing, dropping himself on the ground. He landed on his ass but when he saw Felix walking down the street. Changbin started running, catching up to him.
He looked at the younger's face, trying to figure out his feelings.
"Lixie... I want to say something, even though you might not hear it..." Changbin said, sighing. "I never want to let go of you, so I'm fighting to the end so I can save you... I promise you are safe."
