Blue lights, red lights ... blue lights, red lights... Noises. Words. Nervous steps. Fearful breathing... Time has almost stopped, or at least it feels like it.
Pain. Tears. Sweat... Blood, a lot of blood. The floor is colored red. The white light is too bright. It makes the room look like an operating room.
Blue light, red light, white light, red floor...
"Changbin, please snap out of it..." Felix's voice sounded sweet but worried.
"It's no use... he's about to pass out."
That was a woman... maybe the cashier?
"He needs to be hospitalized..." Felix hummed.
Changbin felt Felix brushing his hair carefully.
"Well duh, but how are you going to do that when there's a psycho keeping us here?"
Changbin would've laughed if he had the strength to.
"I don't know... I just don't want him to die..."
Changbin opened his eyes. He was laying down on Felix's lap. The cashier was pushing a shirt on Changbin's wound on his leg.
"Lixie... I'm not going to die." Changbin whispered. "I'm not leaving you."
The cashier let out a long sigh. "Okay, first of all, you guys brought a psycho here and now you're having a romance? For real? Why did this happen on my shift?" She groaned.
Felix looked at her. "I'm sorry... I just had to escape..."
"I'm not blaming you." The cashier hissed. "I've had no luck with my life, so this actually doesn't surprise me." She said.
Felix turned to Changbin. "Binnie... how did you know to come here?"
Oh, that's right... Felix doesn't know about the hourglass. He doesn't know it was me who led him here...
"Um... I... Okay, Lixie... I know this is going to sound crazy and you probably will think I have gone mad, but I kind of felt something strange after you left." Changbin said. "I... knew something bad would happen... then I just kind of left. I ran around, searching for you, and..."
"Did something show you the way?"
Changbin looked into Felix's eyes. "Y-yes."
"When... when he came there, I... something was moving stuff around. You might not believe it, but that something threw me this paper." Felix explained, taking out a crumbled piece of paper. "This right here... it saved me."
Felix then put the paper back into his pocket. "Binnie... there's something I want to ask you..."
"Yes?"
Suddenly a window broke. The pieces fell all over the floor. The maniac of a man was standing at the door, gun still in his hands. He looked out, noticing cops, who had broken the window.
"We have your car!" An officer yelled.
The man peeked out, staring at the car. He seemed pleased as he stepped back in. "Where's the money!?" He screamed.
"We have it in ten minutes!"
"You're lying!" The man yelled. "You're not getting the money!"
"We are!"
Felix, Changbin and the cashier looked at the scene.
"They're not getting the money. I know it." Changbin whispered.
The cashier nodded. "And that means, we're fucked." She hummed.
"Don't say that ... I'm scared ..." Felix whispered, his arm around Changbin's shoulder.
"Lixie... I think he isn't going to let us go if he doesn't get the money..." Changbin said.
The cashier nodded again. "Yeah, I agree."
The man waited at the door, glancing out. He squeezed the gun tightly in his grip while he walked to his hostages. He first looked at the cashier, then Felix and lastly Changbin.
He lowered his weapon. "You're plotting something, right?" He asked, his voice almost deeper than Felix's.
"What do you think, will they bring me that money?"
Changbin felt Felix's hand on his shoulder, probably telling him not to say anything.
"Huh? Not answering?"
Changbin glanced at the cashier, who nodded.
"I... I think they will." Changbin said quietly.
The man glared at him. "Why do you think so?"
"I... um..."
Felix suddenly squeezed Changbin's hand. "We're famous, remember? We're worth a lot of money." He said.
"Oh yeah." The man chuckled.
"That's right, these guys are super famous." The cashier said, nodding. "Many people need them."
The man pressed his hand to his hip. "Yeah right... how many need you?" He asked, pointing at the cashier with his gun.
"Many people," Felix answered quickly.
"How come? She's just a cashier at a stupid store! Who could possibly need someone like that?"
"Her family, friends..." Felix said.
Changbin pressed Felix's thigh with his thumb. "Just tell us honestly, what are you trying to do?" He asked.
The man seemed a little taken aback, but he nodded with a small smile creeping up to his face. "I want to achieve my dream." He said.
"I want to kill someone."
Kill?
Why does he want to kill?
Who does he want to kill?
Who among us?
