How can he believe anything anymore? All the pieces are mixed, making the whole so confusing, it's even hard to tell what's true and what's not.
Changbin was confused, his reality was destroyed.
I said that we are the same person.
Stop! You are lying!
You can believe what you want, but deep inside you know the truth. You'll fell how it's trying to find a way out.
But if you still want to believe we are not the same person, I'm not going to force you to. You can do what you want, but remember, that all I've said, is what you have been thinking.
Changbin sat down. How did everything become so confusing? He looked at his hands, remembering the blood on them when he first found Felix. It was his blood...
Changbin sat quietly in his room. Thoughts spinning around in his head like a carousel. The room was dim, but Changbin saw everything.
He finally got up and took the hourglass from his pocket. Now was the time to try. For the last time.
Changbin walked out of his room and looked into the living room. Jisung, Hyunjin, Jeongin, Seungmin, and Woojin sat on the couch. There was a blanket on their feet and they were leaning against each other. Woojin had the remote control and they were watching something.
Changbin felt like an outsider, who was looking at someone's home through a window. Yet he knew that the boys sitting on the couch were his friends.
Why bother to look at them? They abandoned you.
They would never abandon me.
But they already did...
He stared at his friends, thinking if they really hated him. Did the world hate him? Is he making a mistake when he tries to save Felix? Does the world want him to cry?
This doesn't help me... I have to think of Felix if I want everything to come back. I need to focus.
Changbin turned away, leaving his friends in the living room. He walked back to his room and closed the door quietly. He sat down and held the hourglass in his hand with care. He looked at the color that was bright, almost blinding. Changbin watched the sand inside the glass. It was dark gray. It reminded Changbin of ashes.
He gently turned the hourglass upside down, shaking it slightly. Then he waited.
In that moment, all the past events circled in his mind, making him dizzy. All the mistakes weighed on his shoulders. All the sorrow squeezed his heart. And all the memories of joy seemed to float away.
Changbin couldn't explain that feeling. It was an empty and frustrating feeling at the same time. As if he had tried everything, but no one had given him the chance to succeed.
Don't lie to everyone, Changbin. You really haven't even tried.
I have. I can promise everyone, that I have tried.
How can you disagree with me?
Easily. I just think you're not real.
Then why do you talk with me?
Stop making me confused! I need to focus! I need to make this work!
I'm not doing anything. You yourself mix things up. You are the evil here. You are the one who has destroyed everything! I am only trying to help! You just don't understand anything!
I don't want to argue with you now. I have better things to do.
Changbin turned to look at the hourglass. Why wasn't it working? He shook it again and glanced at the clock on the wall.
"Okay... it's working..." Changbin sighed.
He turned back to the hourglass and felt his breath stop for a moment. He remembered the freaky manual on the internet. Could the things in it really be true?
Changbin felt his hands start shaking as the hourglass was glowing in red.
Red... red... it means danger...?
How is this possible? Does this mean that I can no longer use this?
But ... I have to save them.
I have to...
I can't give up now!
I need them!
I need him!
I NEED HIM!
