"Oh shit!" was all I heard before I heard a thump.
"Did I just- hit somebody with my car?" I said aloud, shutting down my mom's minivan. I hopped out, and sure enough, there was a guy laying there. He had a skateboard a few feet from his feet. Shit, shit, shit, I thought. He groaned. Good, he's alive.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, stooping down near his head. Then I realized who it was.
Oh, fuck, I thought. He looked up at me and smirked.
"Thanks for hitting me with your car." he said.
"You're welcome," I held out a hand and he gladly took it, dusting himself off. He didn't have a shirt. Damn, those are some abs. Wait, I'm supposed to hate him.
"You done checking me out yet?" Sammy raised his eyebrows amusingly.
"You wish," I grumbled.
"I wish what? That you were checking me out, or that you were done?"
"I choose the first one."
"Oh, Sammi. You can't deny that you want this." Sammy gestured down his body. Wait, he knew my name? "You have the same name as me, that's how." Dude , he can read my mind.
"Well, nice seeing you. I got to go." I said, about to jump into my car.
"Can you give me a ride?" he asked.
"Why should I?" I retorted.
"You just hit me with your fucking car." I sighed, opening the passenger door.
"Where to?" he gave me a small smile.
"Right next to you." Oh, great, so the school's bad boy is my new neighbor. He could see directly into my room. That's just wonderful. I reluctantly started the car and drove to my house, but pulled into my neighbor's driveway.
"Get out," I said glaring at Sammy.
"Oh, Sammi, is that any way to treat your new neighbor?" Sammy smirked, before grabbing his skateboard and opening the door.
"It is if he's a dick." Sammy gasped.
"You just hurt my feelings!" he said, shutting the door and heading up to the house. I shook my head, letting out a long breath I didn't know I was holding in. I backed out of his driveway and drove into mine. I ran up to my room, throwing my stuff on my bed.
"Oh, would you look at that!" I jumped a million miles and turned to the window.
"Sammy!" I shrieked, and he chuckled. "It's not funny!"
"Sorry babe," he said between laughs.
"I'm not your babe." I grumbled, going to shut the window.
"Ha, it's funny. You think you won't fall for me. But I know that you will. Everyone does." I slammed the window shut, climbed into bed, and tried to fall asleep. But no, Sammy had his music blasting. I put my pillow around my ears and finally, after a long time, I fell asleep.
"Shit!" I yelled, glancing at my clock. It was almost 7:30. I jumped out of bed, pulled on jeans and a sweatshirt, and flew down the stairs. There was a note on the table.
sorry sweety, had to take Josh to school! Can you take the bus? Love you! xo Mom
No, Mom, I can't take the bus, because it left like 40 minutes ago. I ran outside, and started running down the sidewalk.
"Need a ride?" I turned, and Sammy was standing there with an amused expression on his face.
"I'm fine, thanks." Not a chance I was getting on his motorcycle.
"Oh, come on. School will be, like, over by the time you get there." I sighed and reluctantly got on the back of the motorcycle. I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly.
"I swear to God, if you go really fast.." He chuckled.
"Don't worry babe, I won't go a mile over 50," I could tell he was smirking.
"Don't call me ba-!" Was all I got out before we were flying. It was fast, but hell, it was fun! I laughed with joy as we sped towards the school, and we were there within minutes. He parked, and I hopped off.
"Thanks!" I called over my shoulder before running into school.
"There you are, Sammi!" I heard a voice call. I smiled as I hugged my best friend, Nash.
"Heyy," I said, giggling. Nash had been my best friend like, since, birth. Our parents were best friends. There had never been anything romantic, between us, and I doubt there ever will be. He knows me inside and out. We walked to our first period together, him cracking jokes the whole way. We sat near the back, and didn't pay attention at all, just passing notes. We did this in all the classes we shared.
When that ended, I said bye to Nash and headed off towards second period. But someone got in the way. It was Sammy.
"You never told me you had a boyfriend," he said.
"Because I don't," I shrugged, trying to get past him. But he put his arm up, blocking the way.
"So he wouldn't mind if I did this?" he didn't give me a chance to reply before he pushed his lips to mine. I threw him off of me.
"What the hell, Sammy?" I said, before storming off to my next class. Why would he do that? Does he... like me? No, no, he can't. He's just trying to get me in bed.
I couldn't concentrate all that class, either.
