*Sammi's point of view*
"Okay, Sammi, today we are going to play Go Fish," Kenny said a couple days after I got home.
"No! I don't like that game, and I don't get it, either." I was trying to talk Kenny out of making me learn that stupid game. It was really dumb. I mean, where are the fish?
Kenny rolled his eyes and grabbed the cards from the desk. We were sitting on my bed, me wrapped in a blanket, him eating Taco Bell.
"Sammi, this is an old classic. You have to be able to play it to be qualified as a human being."
"Well, looks like I'm not a human," I said, trying to get up but Kenny pushing me back down.
Kenny was dealing out the cards when my nervous looking mom stood in the doorway.
"Hey, Mom. What's up?" I asked, taking my cards.
"Sammi, sweetheart. You have a visitor." She stepped aside and a cute guy with dimples stepped into my room. I knew his face, not who he was or his name.
"I know you," I said. He nodded.
"You do. I'm Nate," He said, smiling.
"Well, uh, I'll leave you alone." Mom said, shutting the door.
"How do I know you, again?" I asked, giving him a smile.
"Uh, I'm your ex-boyfriend," He said. I nodded, and that terrible headache came back to my head, right behind my eyes. I groaned in pain.
*Flashback*
"No, Nate! Not again. I can't keep doing this." I said, looking at my boyfriend of two years.
"Why not? We do it all the time! Why not now?" Nate said, looking angry.
"I think you're using me," I whispered.
"Yeah, sure, whatever." He said, throwing his hands up.
"Get out," I said.
"What did you say?"
"I said, get out!" Nate raised his hand and slapped me across the face.
"Fine." Then he left.
--Next Flashback--
"Mom! Mom, hurry! It's Cali!" A pool of blood surrounded my sister's head, and I had not yet found the source. I was scared to turn her over, just in case my thoughts were true.
"What do you mean, it's Cali?" My mom asked, stepping into the room. I was sobbing as she dialed 911.
"Cali, Cali please wake up," I cried, and I wouldn't let go of her even when they covered her with a sheet and tried to put her in an ambulance. "She isn't dead!" I was screaming.
--Next Flashback--
"I'm terribly sorry about your losses," the old doctor said.
"Losses?" I asked, looking around.
"Your sister was about two months pregnant. You didn't know?" The doctor asked me.
"I never told her." My mom whispered.
"Why? I could have helped her! You're the reason my sister is dead!" I screamed, running out of he hospital.
--Next Flashback--
"I got her pregnant," my ex-boyfriend said to me.
"Your sick!" I screamed at Nate.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't try that shit with me, Nate."
"Fine. Whatever. I'll leave."
"You killed her."
"She killed herself."
"But you left her."
"Because I'm not ready to be a father!"
"Well, I hope you remember that you killed your son or daughter." Then I walked away, tears in my eyes.
--end flashbacks--
I was lying on the ground with Kenny hovering over me.
"Sammi! You're okay." He breathed out a sigh of relief and kissed me on the forehead.
"I had a sister," I whispered as Kenny helped me up. Nate put his face in his hands.
"What?" Kenny looked at me. "You have a sister?"
"Had," I snarled, glaring at Nate. "Until Natey over there killed her."
"I was hoping you wouldn't remember," Nate said as a sad look passed over his face.
"Well, I did, so get out. You killed her. I hate you." I sat back down on my bed, rubbing my temples.
"Fine," Nate said, heading towards the door. "But I will get you back." And then he left.
