Chapter 34

Unfortunately, I had to go to school. Which meant I had to get up after a peaceful ten minutes of sleep I got.

After Nate woke me up and the thing happened with Sammy, I couldn't sleep. But I fell asleep like ten minutes before my mom came and woke me up.

"Sammi, get up!" She shrieked, and I groaned.

"Mom do I have to go." I complained.

"Sammi, you've missed enough school." She says.

"I still don't want to go."

"Oh, honey," she sighs and sits at the end of my bed. "Just go through a couple more weeks, then we will talk about online school again."

"Can't I just drop out?" I asked, and my mom winced.

"Absolutely not." She shook her head. "No, you can't. Just because you made a few bad decisions doesn't mean your life is over."

"It is over." I grumbled, turning over.

"It's more of a new beginning." She smiles at me and pats my shoulder.

"I still don't want to go."

"Alright, fine, Sammi. You can stay home today, because I know you are going through a hard time." She sighs and gives in.

"Thanks mommy," I smile and give her a hug.

"No problem." She hugs me back. "But there's no way your missing tomorrow. Even if you're on your death bed."

"Fine. I won't miss it." I smile at her as she gets up and leaves for work.

I hear a knock on my window and Sammy starts to climb through.

I quickly turn on my side and pretend to be asleep.

"Sam, I know you aren't asleep. I just heard that whole conversation with your mom."

I decide to ignore him.

"Sammi, please talk to me." He pleads, sitting on the edge if my bed.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. I've just been having a rough couple days."

"I'm sorry too." I whisper. "Everything you said was true."

"No, don't be sorry. You didn't do anything." Sammy sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "I was being a jerk."

"Yeah you were." I smile slightly. "But I was too."

"Fine, we're both jerks." He says back, and gives me a small hug.

"Your a bigger jerk though." I reply and lean into the hug.

"True, true," he laughs and helps me sit up. "Hey, I have someone I want you to meet."

"Who?" I ask, looking around.

"She's not in here, she's back at my house. But not in my room, because my mom would kill me." He chuckles and helps me stand up.

"So am I forgiven?" Sammy asks hopefully.

"I guess." I smile and hug him.

"Good," he grins and wraps his around me tightly. "Because your my best friend."

"And you're mine." I squeeze him but pull away so we can go meet this mysterious person.

"Wait, Sam, let's just walk. I don't want you to get hurt." He tries to pull me away from the window but I shake my head.

"No, I will conquer this fucking window." I make a muscle and prepare to climb.

"Wait, let me go first, then." He swiftly jumps to the ledge and swings inside his room.
