"Paladins," said Allura. "We have received a weak signal coming from a nearby planet."

"Well, what does it say?" asked Hunk.

"We do not know yet. When we received it, it was heavily distorted. Pidge, status report on translating the signal?" She turned to Pidge, who perked up at hearing her name.

"I think I've go it," she replied. "After slowing it down and removing as much white noise as I could, I got this:" she pressed a button and played the audio file.

It was silent at first, until a faint voice came through. Not much could be understood, but the Paladins could make out the words; "Stranded- supplies low- need help-" followed by more silence. The clip ended, and the room was still.

"A distress signal," Shiro said with worry.

"Indeed," replied Allura. "The planet it was sent from was attacked by the Galra and abandoned. The sender of the distress signal may be the last survivor."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Hunk asked. "Let's get them out of there!"

"Of course we will investigate," said Allura, "but we must be careful. This planet is technically Galra territory, so this could be a trap."

"I don't think so," said Pidge. "The signature of the signal doesn't match that of Galra tech. It's something... different. I don't recognize it at all."

"Whatever!" Lance shouted. "I don't care who sent it! Someone down there might be stranded and need our help! Isn't that what we do? Help people?" Everyone turned to Lance. He had been quiet the entire time up until this point.

"Allura's right, Lance," Shiro spoke up in his classic leader tone. "We can't be too careful. We'll all go together, so that if push comes to shove, we can form Voltron."

"Fine," said Lance.

"Agreed." said Allura.

"I'm in!" said Pidge.

"Me, too!" said Hunk.

Within an hour, they had reached the planet and were hoovering above the surface on their lions.

"Everyone," Shiro's voice came in on the intercom, "split up. Let us all know when you find anything."

"Right," everyone else said as they turned in different directions.

About half an hour later, and Lance was getting bored. He sighed as he scanned the ground, when suddenly something caught his eye. A thin pillar of smoke reached up from a forested area.

"Hey guys," Lance called. "I think I found a campfire! I'm gonna go check it out!" he said as he put Blue into a nosedive. He landed surprisingly quietly several meters away from the fire, and headed out with his Bayard at the ready.

"Alright, Lance, tell us what you find." said Shiro.
