Arboria, a planet famous for its beautiful plant life, had sent an invitation to the Paladins of Voltron to their spring festival. The spring festival was dedicated to the deities of life and love in the Arborian mythos, and upon learning this, Lance insisted that Keith came as his date. They agreed to meet on the planet's surface, and as Keith entered the atmosphere at the designated coordinates, his eyes grew wide. Massive, towering trees in shades of pink, blue, and violet greeted him as he neared landing. As he exited his cruiser, he was met with smaller shrubs and wildflowers in every color of the rainbow, and stood still in awe of the beauty of it all.

"Keiiiiith!" A voice called from behind. He turned around to see the paladins, lead by Lance, who wore the traditional garb of the planet; loose pants, a low cut top with long flowing sleeves, and a sash tied snugly around his waste. His exposed chest and shoulders were painted with blue floral designs and brushed with glitter.

Keith swallowed. He couldn't help but notice how the cool colors of the outfit and makeup brought out the warm tone of Lance's skin. "You look... good," was all he could say. Lance looked more than good, though; Keith had never seen an outfit that looked so amazing on Lance, and yet he had never wanted to tear the clothes off him as much as he did in that moment.

Lance could tell. He smiled with pride and held out a bag. "Thanks, I got you an outfit, too!" Keith blushed slightly, causing Lance to laugh. Half a varga later, and Keith was in equally revealing clothes, his skin covered in dark red blossoms to match his outfit.

"I was right-! You look hot as quiznak in red!" Lance said with delight, sliding and arm around Keith's waist. Keith laughed shyly, burring his face in Lance's shoulder. "No~! You're too pretty to hide!" Lance pushed Keith's posture straight and lightly kissed his cheek.

The two wandered through the festival hand in hand, watching as performers danced and did acrobatics and artists made floral themed paintings and sculptures. They sampled food made of fresh produce and herbs. At one point, Pidge approached the two of them, a skewer of large, fried bugs in hand.

"You guys gotta try this, it tastes like shrimp!" She said excitedly. Lance grimaced at the sight, but Keith broke a leg off and bit it without hesitation.

"Hmm... don't know what shrimp is, but that's pretty good." He nodded. "Here, try some," he held out his piece to Lance. Lance gulped, closed his eyes, and took a nibble. His eyes opened in surprise a tick later.

"It does taste like shrimp! Weird..."

"Not really," a Pidge said, "shrimp share many traits with these, such as an exoskeleton, and-"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, those are still kinda gross though."

Pidge shrugged and took a bite. "You should probably get used to them; Hunk's officially obsessed with the food here."

Night fell, but the festival went on under the light of the twin moons, and many of the plants lit up with a bioluminescent glow. As the two strolled down the path together, they noticed a trail that went into the woods lit by golden glowing flowers.

"What's that?" Lance asked.

"Let's check it out," said Keith. They followed the trail into the forest, until the trees parted to reveal a river bank.

"Wow..." Keith whispered. He came to the water's edge and sat on his knees, and Lance joined him. Across the river, a tall six legged creature bounded gracefully to the water and began to drink, and was soon joined by a taller one of its own. After they finished drinking, the two creatures touched muzzles and disappeared into the trees. "So beautiful... is this what earth is like?" he said softly.
