A.N.: Thank you so much for #3 in GalraKeith! Now, back to the story!

Dinner was tense, to say the least. Allura stared daggers at Keith from across the table, and, though they sat side by side per Allura's orders, Keith and Lance avoided making eye contact with each other. Hunk had attempted to make conversation, but to no avail.

Keith managed with the situation in the only way he knew how, and ate as quickly as he could and attempted to leave even quicker. Before he could reach the door, though, Allura stood up.

"Not without Lance! That was the agreement!" she shouted at him.

"Chill out, Allura," Lance said calmly "I'm done, too." With that, the two of them left.

Allura sat back down and picked at her food aggressively.

"I think you do need to calm down, Allura," said Shiro. "He hasn't done anything, yet."

"Yes, but he is galra. He could do something terrible to any of us at any moment. I'm not even sure if it was right to leave Lance alone with him!"

Meanwhile, Lance and Keith walked down the hallway together, Lance being sure to walk slower than usual so Keith could keep up.

"So," Keith tried to say casually, "Do you want to keep training, or...?"

"Actually," Lance cut in, "I'm pretty tired, I think I'll just take a shower and go to bed, if that's alright with you." Lance paused for a moment. "You know, you should get some sleep, too. You've got purple under your eyes."

"Uh... my whole face is purple...?"

"I- uh- I know, but it's like, a darker purple! Like bruises, you know?"

Keith rolled his eyes. "Okay, a shower does sound good. Where are the showers?"

"I actually have my own shower in my room. You can use it, too."

"Oh! okay. A personal shower, wow, fancy."

Lance raised an eyebrow. "You think having your own shower is fancy?"

Keith scratched the back of his neck nervously. "Well, where I'm from, it is. Back at the base, most of us used a communal shower. Only the highest ranking officers had showers in their private quarters."

"Ah! Gotcha." The Garrison was the same way, but the Castle of Lions felt more like a home to Lance, and he couldn't imagine home without getting to shower in private. Soon, they reached his room.

Keith looked around at the room, taking note of all the paraphernalia scattered about.

"All these things you have, they're from Earth, right?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah, some of it is. Wait, how do you know about Earth?"

"You're human, right? I've, uh... heard stories." Keith paused, took another look around, and said, "so... I guess we're sharing that bed?"

"Oh! No, you don't have to do that, here, we'll find you something."  After searching around for a while, they found a spare futon and pillow in a closet across the hall. Keith and Lance placed the futon next to Lance's bed, and Keith tested it out.

"Is that enough? It doesn't look too comfy..." Lance trailed off nervously.

"After sleeping on the ground on a pile of rags for fourteen quintents, this is a huge improvement. Actually, this is just like back home!" Keith smiled and pulled the quilt around his shoulder contently.

Lance smiled at the cute gesture. "Okay, I'm gonna take a shower, then." With that, he turned to the bathroom.

Once the door closed, Keith sat up and looked around once more, when something on the wall caught his eye. He got up off the futon and walked over to Lance's dresser. It was a circle of fine silver chains and red glass beads, with a chain of beads coming off one end, and at the end of it, a small piece of silver in the shape of a "t". He held it delicately in his hand as he observed it. It was beautiful. It reminded him of the meditation beads his mom would use, accept fancier. Mom, home, the blades... "Oh, no..." he whispered to himself. He frantically checked every pocket he had until he found a pill bottle. He shook it, and, to his horror, heard nothing. He had run out.

"Hey, Keith? I'm done," Lance called as he opened the bathroom door. Keith swiftly put the bottle in his pocket as he turned to Lance. "Don't worry, there's still plenty of hot water." Lance said.

"Oh, great!" Keith smiled nervously. He went into the bathroom and locked the door behind him. He stripped down and turned towards the mirror. Already, his skin looked slightly paler. He got into the shower, turned on the water, and felt his muscles relax in the heat. His mind, though, was in panic mode. Damn it, he thought to himself. He'd always been so careful, he'd never run out of pills before. How long would it take for them to wear off? Could he escape and get back to the base on time? What if he didn't? What would he do? No, that wouldn't happen. This castle was just a giant spaceship, right? It must have emergency escape pods! He made up his mind to find them, and get the hell out while the crew slept. Suddenly, there was a tap on the door.

"You alright, Keith? You've been in there a while," Lance asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he turned off the water, hopped out, and dried himself off. He took another look at his reflection and cringed.

When he came out of the bathroom, Lance was already under his covers. Keith got into his futon and curled up under the blanket. "Goodnight!" Lance said cheerfully as he turned out the light. Keith closed his eyes and pretended to sleep, listening carefully to Lance's breathing patterns. Once they were slow and quiet, Keith got out of bed and headed for the door.
