The cold air hit him as soon as Lafayette stepped outside. He still couldn't believe it. He was going to be working for George Washington.

He smiled, walking to the subway. Texting his friend Hercules, he told him the good news and suggested they celebrate. Of course, he didn't refuse and agreed to meet at their normal bar.

His group of friends had been going out for years together. Hercules was the closest with him, but they were all very good friends.

Alexander and John were lawyers in the city, and Herc was an architect. They all were successful, yet they always made time for each other.

Lafayette, being the youngest at 22, had been ecstatic when he found work so early.

He wasn't outgoing, and thought office life was right for him. He enjoyed the work that came with it, and always did his best.

With all the craziness of today, he was happy to sit down and have a beer with a friend.

The dimly lit bar was cozy and not overly crowded, just how he liked it. Herc greeted him with a smile and a hug, ordering shots for them.

Lafayette figured he might as well enjoy the weekend before throwing himself into work.

"How did George Washington hire you on site, man. It's a crazy tight place to find work in. You must've wowed him with your clumsiness," Hercules laughed, downing a shot.

Laf rolled his eyes. "Yep, I'm just that amazing," he joked, shaking his head. He still couldn't believe how he got the job.

Little did he know the real impact he had on the cold business man.
