George stared at Lafayette, trying to predict how he would respond to his question. Worst case scenario, he would throw the glass of water in his face and storm out. Or he would file a restraining order and never see George again.
His internal turmoil was easily recognized by Lafayette. "Hey," he spoke softly, gently putting his hand on the older man's leg. George sighed, staring into Lafayette's beautiful caramel eyes.
Suddenly, their lips were interlocked. Lafayette froze in shock before grabbing his face in his small hands. This kiss was unlike any other Laf had had before.
He kissed so feverishly, like he thought the man would disappear when he opened his eyes. Lafayette gasped when he felt George's hands grabbing his hips, almost like he never wanted to let the man go.
George was the one to break the kiss, his eyes searching the man's face for any sign of disgust. God, what had he done?
"I'm sorry," George's rough voice mumbled, as he rubbed his hand over his face. "This is not how I wanted this conversation to go," he lightly chuckled, trying to ease the situation.
"What did you want to talk about sir?" Lafayette breathed out, still out of breath from that moment. Well, that'll definitely be in his dreams now.
George froze when he called him sir. Lafayette didn't know what he did to the poor man. "I wanted to discuss the nature of our relationship," George sighed, looking in the man's eyes.
"Lafayette, I can't get you out of my head. You're in my mind every moment from the minute I saw you. You've awaken so many emotions in me I haven't seen in a long time. I want to be with you. I know we've known each other for not even a full month. But god you do things to me. We can take things at your pace, even though it'll take everything in me to refrain from touching you every moment."
Lafayette was shocked, but it felt like all of his wildest dreams were coming true. Lafayette hadn't been in a real relationship since freshman year of college.
But everytime he looked at George he could just tell that there was something different about him. He had never felt this way, but he loved it.
"I've never really had a very serious relationship before," he said shyly.
"How about this," George grabbed his hands. "Stay here with me. Just a week. We can do whatever you want. You don't have to give me an answer until the end of the week or longer if you still haven't decided. I just want you to see how good I can treat you. I won't do anything without your permission, and I will be as much of a gentleman as I can."
Lafayette's heart swooned at the man. He shyly nodded, watching George's face light up.
"I will come pick you up at 5 tomorrow with your things. If at anytime you want to spend a night at home, you're more than welcome to. I'm so happy you're giving me this chance Lafayette," he smiled wide.
Lafayette smiled too, kissing the man's cheek. George walked him to the door and watched him go.
His smile never left his face that night.
