Having feelings for someone wasn't all that great and I don't see why everyone is always going crazy about it.

It hurts.

I was giving myself a headache over all this.

"Skylar?"

I kept my head down. "Hm?"

I heard walking then they stopped near my desk. "Skylar, pay attention."

I lifted my head to see her looking at me. "Can I go to the nurse?"

"Why?"

I groan. "I don't feel good."

She looks at me with concern before walking back to her desk and pulling a piece of paper from her drawer. She wrote something down then calls me to the front.

I walk to her and grab the note before walking out of the classroom. I couldn't hardly walk because my head was pounding.

I didn't sleep last night. I couldn't keep my eyes shut long enough and it bothered me to the point where I just stayed up all night.

The nurse couldn't find anything wrong, except for giving me some pills for my headache.

"You need to sleep more, Skylar. It's not good for a girl your age to not get enough sleep." She gave me a note for my next class then let me go.

I sat down against a locker then took my book out and started reading until the bell rung. I watched as everyone was walking by then I saw Nicole and Brian walk my way.

I stood up and smiled at them. "Hi."

"We get to meet Preston." Brian says.

I look over at Nicole as she was smiling. "Really?"

She nods. "Yes. At lunch."

I smile as we all started talking then Brian brought something up. "So, why were you and Miss Miller together yesterday?"

"Oh, we were just going over some assignments." I lied.

Nicole watched me as Brian kept talking about her and I was avoiding eye contact.

Brian said he said to do something before his next class started then he left. Nicole grabs my arm and looks at me. "It's her, isn't it?"

I gave her a confused look before being pulled away. She looks around before looking back at me. "It's Miss Miller." She smiles. "The girl you like."

"No," I say but she instantly stops me.

"You can't hide it, Skylar. You said you liked someone, and you were seen outside her classroom, eavesdropping. Then you were with her at the café yesterday. I can see the way you act when we mention her name." She couldn't stop smiling. "It's her."

There was no reason to keep it from her since she's already this far.

I look around before speaking. "Yes, it's her but please don't say anything."

She smiles. "Skylar, there's nothing wrong with having a crush on her. It's ok. I support it."

"Really?"

She nods. "Yes, and I think you should talk to her."

I shake my head. "No, I can't do that."

"Why? It won't hurt for you to talk to her about it. Either way, at least it'll help you understand it better. I knew something was wrong with you for the past few days."
