Well shit.

When I looked over at my alarm clock, I had ten minutes to get to school before I was late. I quickly got up and ran to the bathroom.

I brushed my hair, my teeth and poured mouth wash in my mouth before running out of the bathroom and back into my room.

I was swishing the mouth wash in my mouth then went to the trash can and spit it out.

I quickly went through my closet and found an outfit. Undressed, then pulled my clothes on before looking for my shoes.

I found them under the bed then slid them on before grabbing my phone off the bed. I glanced at it and saw a few messages from my friends and a missed call.

I would explain to them whenever I got to school.

I ran downstairs and into the kitchen. I needed at least to grab something to go.

I went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of orange juice. I looked around as I was walking out of the kitchen and knew that it was extremely quiet this morning.

It's usually not.

I ignored it then walked outside to my car. After I got everything situated in my car. I drove out of the driveway and tried to hurry to school on time.

Traffic was a pain in the ass but luckily I didn't get pulled over from speeding. I could care less about a cop pulling me over because I didn't want to be late for school, even though I could care less but whatever.

It was the first day.

I pulled up in a parking spot and noticed the time. I was four minutes late.

I ran inside the building and down the hall as I approached the room where I was suppose to go for homeroom.

I walked in and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. I walked over to an empty desk and sat down.

Naturally, everyone minded their own business after a few moments and I pulled my phone out to text my friends.

After a minute or two, I got a text back from each of them telling me to meet at our usual spots after homeroom.

I sent a quick text back before the teacher walked in. I placed my phone in my pocket and watched as he stood in front of the classroom and started explaining everything to us.

"New year, everyone."

A few groans were heard.

He wrote things down on the board then turned around. "Hopefully everyone was here at open house to receive your schedules. If not, the office will provide you one."

Same old shit every year. Blah blah.

The minutes seemed to drag on and on as it was never ending.

I was more than happy when that bell rung and we were released. I grabbed my things and walked out of the classroom, heading to the spot my friends meet at.

I'm a senior this year and I know that most people who enter the last the grade of high school is all bat-shit crazy over it but I don't see what the big deal is.

I'm more than ready to leave this place but I'm not crazy about being a senior.

As I was walking down the hall, a looked around at everyone who was talking, smiling or laughing as they were near their group of friends.

High school is a joke.

Half the people here are idiots and it annoys me. I stay away from about everyone here, other than my friends. I just can't take it here anymore.
