"Hey, wait up!" Johnny heard a voice yell before he felt a hand on his bicep after leaving school. All of his classes for the day were over, and he hadn't expected to be stopped by someone.

As he turned around, he saw Ten looking up at him.

"You said you'd tell me more about your life in Chicago," the boy smiled as he noticed Johnny wouldn't reply. A small smile spread across his lips at the mention of his hometown, and he nodded at the smaller guy.

"Yeah, I said I'd do that. Do you live far from here?"

"No, I don't, I live just around the corner, and you?"

"Yeah, me too. Wait, you just moved in last weekend, right?"

"That's true, how did you know?"

"I saw someone move into the house next to mine this Saturday," Johnny replied cheekily before walking off. Ten was quick to catch up with him.

"Wait, so we're neighbors?"

"Seems like it."

"I'd invite you over to my place, but it's still messy. Can we go to yours instead so you can tell me about Chicago, please?"

"Yeah, we can do that. Why do you even want to know about that, anyways?"

"Well, I've always wanted to visit Chicago, and also, you seem like a pretty cool person," Ten said sincerely. Sure, he hadn't known Johnny for long, but something about him seemed to pull him towards the tall boy.

"You're the only person in this whole city to think like that," Johnny replied with a hint of seriousness and sadness in his voice as he opened the door to his house. The way from school really wasn't long, so they had arrived at Johnny's place in no time.

"That's sad. I don't know why nobody wants to talk to you. I've seen you all alone at lunch, and I've wanted to join you, but this one weird guy stopped me."

"Do you know who it was?"

"I don't, he was pretty slim, though, and his hair was bleached silver."

"I think that's Taeyong," Johnny replied, entering the kitchen. While talking, the guys had pulled off their shoes, jackets and backpacks, of course, and now, it was time to eat something. Johnny's parents were still at work, so he got two bowls of the leftovers from the day before and heated them up.

As they sat down to eat, Ten thanking Johnny again for the food, they began talking about Chicago. Afterwards, Ten really couldn't restrain himself from asking one certain question.

"Hey, not to offend you or anything, but when that one dude shouted at you about staying in America, I saw your eyes change color. I hope nobody else saw it."

Johnny was startled. It was unusual for someone to see it when it happened, and Johnny didn't know who could see it, so he visibly stiffened at the question.

Ten put a hand reassuringly on top of Johnny's own hand that had put the chopsticks away.

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I'm one myself."

Johnny was even more confused than before. He had never met someone like himself before; not even his parents were what he was.

"You're a warlock?"
