Three years had passed and there was still no sign of Johnny or Mark. The police had investigated for about two years, but declared the case unresolved and closed as they had never found their bodies, only a completely burned-out car. They believed the two boys had just run away and the others didn't notice. Everybody had had to go through several mental health checks, and Jisung even did therapy to process his kidnapping. He still wasn't completely free of of nightmares and anxiety attacks, but about two and a half years of therapy, he was getting there. Everyone supported him fully, even though they had to deal with their own problems, and Jisung couldn't be more thankful.

The morning after the attack, Yuta and Taeil had opened up about everything, their pasts, what they were and why they did it. Taeil was a magician, specialised in both combat and healing, and the first thing he did after waking up that fateful morning was to brew a healing potion for everyone injured (under supervision, of course).

Yuta, who was a werewolf like Jaehyun, had helped with brewing the potion, and also talked to Sicheng the whole time. They got along very well despite what had happened, surprising everyone else. Sicheng had later on explained that Yuta had dropped his mental barrier, knowing that Sicheng was half willpower warlock, to willingly expose his thoughts and feelings. Sicheng confirmed that the guy didn't want anything bad and that everything him and Taeil had said was true. Taeil also dropped his barrier after that for Sicheng to read him and prove his good nature.

Everybody had been careful around the two for the next few weeks, especially Ten and Jaehyun, but seeing as the others warmed up to then, they also slowly let their guards down. Also, they had been trying to find a way to connect to Mark and Johnny the whole time, and arguments wouldn't help with that.

After about a year and too many attempts to find their friends, they ran out of methods. Nobody could sense any of their presences, resulting in utter hopelessness and despair. The whole time, Ten had been suffering the most because of the loss, and he was happy the others were there to catch him when he was falling, especially Jaehyun, who had become his best friend as well. In the meantime, many of them had also been busy with graduation, causing them to lose focus for several months. Everybody except for Ten and the younger members of their group enrolled in university, studying music, philosophy, biochemistry, even medicine. Ten, in the meantime, had moved in with Jaemin and Jisung, helping them where he could and working as a waiter. It didn't bring him tons of money, but they all could survive on it and he still had enough time to try and find Johnny and Mark. The others told him to rest, let it be for a bit, saying he was a little obsessing over it and that it had been years, but Ten wasn't one to give up.

He knew his attempts would work out at some point, even if it would take him the rest of his life.

The guy was willing to do about anything to get his very first love back.

One evening, he came back from his shift, greeting Jisung and Jaemin, who were watching something on TV with one of their friends, Chenle. Jisung had found Chenle bleeding really bad in an alleyway one afternoon after the boy had been shot in the stomach because of a shooting at his school. Chenle had just recently moved to Korea, and in order to save his life, Jisung had turned him into a vampire. They had become the closest of friends ever since, and Chenle had practically moved in with them. The boy's parents knew about him being a vampire, but they were scared, so they let Chenle change schools and move in with Jaemin, Ten and Jisung during weekdays, meeting up with all of them on the weekends to get used to the situation. Their ambition to see him happy made Chenle proud, and his parents were also getting better at handling everything. Also, they liked Jisung a lot, which made the whole situation so much easier.

Ten slid off his jacket and shoes, about to plop down on the couch next to the three boys, as the doorbell rang. Ten groaned and got up, wondering who would want to visit at that time in the evening. He opened the door, only to freeze.

Standing in front of him were Johnny and Mark, both disheveled, looking a bit older, dirty and with bloody stains on their clothes, panting hard.

"Let us in, please!"
