The guys were frozen. They had felt safe, their opponents trapped, but then, the van lit up and stood on fire.
They knew they had to save the others, even though they were enemies, but they couldn't let anyone die in front of them.
Still, nobody of them was able to stop the fire from burning completely, even though Johnny possessed water-related powers. The fire was clearly magical, so he could make it smaller, but he couldn't stop it entirely.
Then, suddenly, Johnny jumped into the burning van.
"Johnny, don't!" Ten screamed, reaching out for the guy, but Johnny was too fast. They all could just watch as their tall friend got devoured by the licking flames that seemed to light up even more.
Jisung broke out in tears immediately, clutching his face with his hands while sobbing. Kun held him even tighter, shielding him from the flames and muttering calming words to him. "Johnny can do it, whatever it is he is doing. He's strong, trust him, Ji," he whispered, stroking Jisung's hair in a calming manner. Jisung clasped Kun's shirt so tightly that it was bound to rip apart anytime soon, but Kun didn't care at all.
Meanwhile, Sicheng had been trying to build a mental connection with Johnny, but to no avail. At least he could sense that Johnny was still alive and not in a too bad condition, and that's what he told Ten, too.
Jaemin and Taeyong had been struggling with keeping Jaehyun from running after his best friend. Sure, the two were vampires, but even for them was it hard to hold back an angry and upset werewolf about to transform. Jaehyun screamed, screamed for Johnny to come back and for the vampires to let go of him. It was disturbing, really, to see the usually quiet and helpful guy lose control like this.
Ten had also broken out in tears, but he was trying to control them. It was true that he had taken quite a liking to the tall and clumsy guy, and he wasn't afraid to admit to it. However, he didn't want to cry when Johnny was still alive.
He chose to fight instead.
The rather small male made his way to the van, and he could feel the heat increasing rapidly. Also, he could feel that is was a magical fire, and he could feel that something fishy was going on there, even though he felt the slight sliver of Johnny's water powers.
It gave him a bit of hope.
"They're using magic in there," Sicheng exclaimed, seeing as he had followed Ten and therefore felt it as well.
"I'll go in anyways; I have to try and save Johnny," Ten teared up again. "I can't let it end like this."
Just as he was taking a step forward, Sicheng help him back with a strong hand on Ten's arm.
"Why are you stopping me now?!"
"Just wait."
Ten came to see that his hybrid friend was right.
Two figures fell out of the still burning van, coughing and bleeding.
Yuta and Taeil.
"Where is Johnny?!" Ten immediately yelled, then reached out to catch Taeil, who was losing consciousness and falling to the ground with his severe injuries.
"They're fine," Yuta weakly said in a voice strained from the gases. Then, he also lost consciousness, quickly being caught by Sicheng.
Suddenly, sirens could be heard, and they all knew they had to leave, willingly or not.
"I can't leave! Johnny's still in there!" Jaehyun yelled, Ten agreeing immediately. Sicheng teleported all of them to Thailand, immediately securing Ten and Jaehyun. Fixing Jaehyun in his place was easy, even though he was rebelling against it, but securing Ten was a whole other level, seeing as he was a willpower warlock, and not just half of one.
Taeyong ended up knocking both of them out with immediately working sleeping pills.
