Crash

Previously at Fairview High... following the confrontation at the apartment, Mark, Greg and Kirsten sought serenity with their new pal, Rough, by hitting the downtown club scene, where they met an exotic raver they call, "Patos." Meanwhile Sami prepared to take Mandrid away from a life of possible homelessness by inviting her to live overseas with him. This put a damper on Rough's mission to rescue Sami, allowing the teachers an opportunity to give Rough an unwelcoming introduction to Fairview High.

That morning, at around three a.m. Rough is sitting a most uncomfortable environment...

SCENE 1

Kaj wakes up in a straight jacket, in an isolated cell.

Amon: Pst... hey, wake up.

Kaj: ...uh... what? What is this?!

Amon: Shh! It's me... Patos.

Kaj: Is that what you're going by now?

Amon: I kinda like it. Don't fidget like that, you'll just make it worse.

Kaj: Where are you?

Amon: See the small window on the door?

Kaj: Oh, yeah, I see you. I can't exactly open the door... hence the straight jacket?!

Amon: Shhh! Be quiet. I've got everyone in a trance but it's not going to last very long.

Amon unlocks and opens the cell door.

Amon: Haha, look at you! What a trouble maker! This would make a great photograph.

Kaj: If my arms weren't restrained I'd...

Amon: You'd what? Thank me for busting you out? You're welcome. Now let's go. I'll unwrap you on the way there...

They sneak out of the mental hospital.

SCENE 2

At Mark and Greg's apartment. Amon unlocks the door with a key.

Kaj: They gave you a key to their apartment?

Amon: Let's just say I sort of borrowed it.

They open the door and come inside. Mark is sleeping on the couch.

Mark: (snore) Mommy no, I don't want any more pancakes... they smell like fish brains... ugh...

Amon: They're all asleep.

Kaj: What time is it?

Amon: 4:00 a.m.. Didja ever find Sami?

Kaj: He's off to Tokyo... again... with some Mandrid person.

Amon: I heard you have to stay here in town now.

Kaj: Who told you that?

Amon: The teachers at Fairview.

Kaj: Is that how you found me in that jail cell?

Amon: That wasn't a jail cell... that was an insane asylum. You're turning into a regular outlaw, Rough McGruff.

Kaj: Wouldja stop calling me that?

Amon: I don't think so... with all the stains on your past, keeping your real name a secret is probably the only thing you've got going for you right now. You're already a terrorist as far as those teachers are concerned.

Kaj: I only took the heat to protect Sami.

Amon: That was pretty noble of you. But I suppose that is why you are his twin. You take the heat and he has all the power. He's going to get you executed one day. They already hate you back in Okinawa.
