Previously at Fairview High... "creatures and people united as one" became the topic in a provocative class discussion, agitating the students, including Kirsten, who had a secret to tell Elian. After class, Sami contacted Kaj with concerns about a dangerous assignment from the teachers. Amon then emerged to sabotage Kaj's progress with the assignment. Discouraged, Kaj was then confronted by Mocia in regards to his relationship with her.
The next evening, at Nick's house...
SCENE 1
At Nick's house.
Mary-Jane: This is it. Tonight just has to be the night Nick will ask me to be his girlfriend. I mean, it's a pool party and everyone knows people hook up at pool parties. Am I right or am I right?
Amanda: You're totally right, Mary-Jane.
Mary-Jane: Plus, check out this bikini. It's so in right now. How's my hair? Do you think he'll like present I got him? I know how much he loves athletic shoes and I mean, I know his size so surely he'll...
Amanda: Mary-Jane, just relax. Tonight's gonna be a great night, I can feel it. You have nothing to worry about.
Mary-Jane: (sigh) Okay, I know I gotta chill out. Come on, let's go find Nick. I think he's outside by the Jacuzzi.
They go outside.
Mary-Jane: Hey Nick! Oh my gosh, great party!
Nick: Thanks. Not bad for a mandatory assignment. Greg and Kirsten never showed up to decorate... I'm kinda glad about that to be honest.
Amanda: Isn't so cool that we go to a school where we get assignments like, "go to Nick's pool party"? Talk about an easy A.
Mary-Jane: Totally Amanda! Lindsay, you look so pretty. I like your swim suite. It's really adorable.
Lindsay: Thank you. It's from last year. I'm glad it still fits.
Ryan: All the girls here look really really hot!
Nick: Ain't that the truth, Ryan.
Amanda: Awe! You guys are so cute! Heehee.
Mary-Jane: So, where's you're B.F., Lindsay?
Lindsay: I... I dunno.
Mary-Jane: Oh my gosh, I so left my towel inside. Come on, let's you and me go get it.
Lindsay: If you say so.
SCENE 2
Inside, Elian and Kirsten arrive.
Kirsten: I'm so nervous.
Elian: Just take deep breaths. I will be here with you the whole time.
Kirsten: Oh my gosh, you're my new best friend, Elian.
Elian: I do what I can to help.
Kirsten: You know I'm mostly just afraid to have to face Greg. Oh boy, getting queazy. Need to sit down.
Elian: Here, let's go in the kitchen. There doesn't seem to be much traffic in there. I'll see if this house holds any of the items necessary for my famous elf soup!
Kirsten: Okay, yeah, that's a great idea. I just need to eat something.
They go into the kitchen.
SCENE 3
Back outside. Mocia gives Nick a gift.
Mocia: Nick, there you are! Happy Birthday!
